We're seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Head of AI Research to join our Innovation & Advanced Solutions group team. This role is in Dublin.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

As a member of BNY Mellon's Innovation & Advanced Solutions group, the primary focus will be to continuously monitor key trends related to artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies, extract insights to shape the group's strategic direction and drive engagement with ecosystem players. Main responsibilities will include:

• Serve as a key subject matter expert and thought driver with deep insights into artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML)
• Conduct research and analyses on AI/ML trends to synthesize insights that could impact the direction of BNY Mellon's AI strategy
• Monitor key AI/ML developments including innovations, regulation, deals and acquisitions
• Develop and enhance BNY Mellon's responsible AI framework and outline measures and strategies to address risk associated with the technology
• Keep abreast of regulatory development and point person for regulatory engagement Effectively communicate well-thought, actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership
• Develop or contribute to thought content for external publication (e.g., paper, podcasts, videos)
• Establish a forum for continuous engagement with ecosystem players (e.g., FinTech partners, service providers, regulators)
• Support marketing outreach and communication campaigns including external events (e.g., conferences, roundtables) and media engagements

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
• Degree in engineering, computer science, business, economics, marketing, analytics, or other related quantitative discipline; graduate degree preferred
• Sufficient years of experience in market or competitive intelligence, management consulting, business operations, and/or another relevant field
• Experience working with AI/ML and data science strongly preferred; familiarity with related innovations and other emerging technology in financial services a plus (e.g., quantum computing, blockchain/DLT, web3)
• Track record of research and analysis synthesized in published thought leadership content (e.g., papers, videos, podcasts)
• Good understanding of business drivers, market structure, and trends in securities, institutional banking, or asset management industry is preferred
• Strong core consulting skills - strategic thinker with strong analytics, structured thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including presenting ideas in an impactful manner for senior audiences
• Experience facilitating and participating in public events (e.g., conferences, panels, roundtables) as well as responding to media inquiries and appearing in interviews
• Ability to work effectively across the across stakeholders in functions and regions including building trusted partnership with and influencing senior stakeholders across the organization
• Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to accomplish goals through others, including employees, peers, and other function/business areas of the company
• Entrepreneurial and results oriented and takes initiative
