Principal, Release Train Engineer is the one who facilitates Program Level processes and execution, escalates impediments, manages risk, and helps drive program level continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience in business management or related field is required.
Work experience in Project Management / Agile Project Management is a must
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Scrum Master and / or Safe certifications are preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Leads and provides some direction and guidance for a wide array of activities associated with project planning and management to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget and to client specifications. Responsible for the overall success of projects. Leads end to end project management activities such as reporting, planning, issue / risk tracking, work breakdown structures, scheduling effort estimation and tracking, other project documentation preparation and turnover to production. Ensures work is performed within the program and project management policies, standards, procedures and frameworks with established tools and techniques routinely used for project management. Develops detailed project plans and schedules including goals, risks and resource allocation. Monitors project results for significant deviations. Leads project relations to ensure that service expectations are developed and met. Maintains regular contact with clients and coordinates and reports on project progress and accomplishments. May provide input for (project) team member performance appraisals. Works with all required Information Technology functions and groups to effectively plan and execute the project. May coordinate resources across organizational boundaries. Serves as a liaison between clients and internal groups to ensure delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to specification. Has regular contact among peers within the firm and externally, including regulators and professional organizations. Provides advice to internal clients on the implications of business trends, issues, operating environment changes and firm or business unit strategy. No direct reports. May guide other Project Management support staff. Contributes to the achievement of area objectives. Modified based upon local regulations/requirements. Bachelor's degree, preferably in business management or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or Prince2 certification is beneficial. 8 - 10 years of related program and/or project management experience required. Experience with operations, technology and/or financial services industry is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
