We're seeking a future team member with strong leadership skills to be part of a mission critical MQ support team, for our production services in the Technology Services Group. This role is in based in Pittsburgh, PA, and Lake Mary, FL and is a HYBRID role.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Lead a support team to ensure stability of service across a very large infrastructure footprint.
  • Lead the team at times of production incidents to ensure proper focus, swift resolution, and appropriate follow ups. Deep dive into troubleshoots and serve as an SME, escalation point.
  • Help the team to deliver on client expectations within timelines.
  • Help the team define SLOs and capture SLIs.
  • Lead efforts to improve environment stability through cleanups, automation, documentation, and monitoring. Be able to identify automation, monitoring improvements and define requirements for the engineering/dev-ops team.
  • Help the team to collaborate with internal and external application developer teams, infrastructure providers, project managers and vendors, so that they can develop timely and effective implementation and support plans for follow ups.
  • Understand change and incident management process. Lead efforts to improve the weekly review for changes and incidents.
  • Maintain best practices/ policies and ensure they are followed.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • 15 or more years of experience in administration and support of enterprise wide MQ messaging infrastructure preferably in the banking sector. Ideal candidate will have support experience with IBM appliances (preferred) and/or with containers.
  • Experience in managing IPTs, TLS, and general management of security certificates, is required.
  • Experience with some scripting language (i.e.: python) is preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task while meeting critical deadlines and pay attention to detail, is required.
  • Experience in leading a mission critical MQ support team is required.
  • Ability to understand and communicate impact and risk in complex situations while leading troubleshooting efforts, is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred10-12 years of related experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
