Overview

Determines technical/non-functional requirements, solves problems and technical challenges; Designs new software solutions and/or installs vendor products. Constructs workflow charts, architectual/integration diagrams and technical specification documentation. Identifies areas of improvement and works to determine, document and execute on solutions including data retention, integration, system rationalisation or decomissioning. Validates solutions by testing results, works individually or as part of a team.Analyzes, defines and documents requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks, controls, and outputs using BNY Mellon's standard development methodology.Ensure testing, implementation and documentation of solution. Ensures that expected application performance levels are achieved. Ensures data retention policies are adhered to.Ensures permit to design, build and operate gates are appropriately met.Provides input into project plans and oversees technical deliverables. Analyzes and estimates feasibility, cost, time, and compatibility with hardware and software components.Conducts analysis of technical/non-functional needs and goals for the development and implementation of application solutions.Proposes innovative, creative technology solutions.MODIFIED BASED UPON LOCAL REGULATIONS/REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required6-8 years of experience in software development required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
