Overview
The Bank of New York Mellon seeks Lead Back-End Developer in Woodland Park, NJ, to Design and develop backend features and components. Collaborate with other developers in design and development. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Two (2) years of experience must include: Reviewing the configuration and security settings within Securities Master Databases and applications using Oracle, UDB, DB2 and operating systems including Unix, Windows, and ZOS; Designing and developing financial applications using C++, Java/J2EE, COBOL, Spring Framework, Virtualization, Microservices, No-SQL Database, Network-attached storage (NAS) storage, Storage Area Network (SAN), and IBM Message Queue Service; Utilizing tools for scheduling (AWS and ESP), Ticketing (ServiceNow and Remedy), development (Eclipse and IntelliJ), code management (GIT, Jenkins, and GITLAB), querying and DB analysis (SQL Developer and Squirrel SQL Client), and data transmission (WinSCP, NDM, and SFTP) to build, configure, maintain, and provide resiliency for financial applications; and architecting, designing, and developing processes to load and store pricing and reference data from market feeds from vendors including Bloomberg into the securities master database and distribute the data to consumer applications via channels including APIs, file transmission, and messaging queues.
