We're seeking a future team member for the role of Lead Analyst to join our Fund Transfer Pricing (FTP), Corporate Treasury team. This role is located in Pune, Maharashtra.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Design and develop data models, ETL Processing, reconciliations process and controls using SQL/Excel/QRM based on Business Requirements.
  • In close coordination with US based team, perform data analytics using SQL.
  • Analyzing problems, recommending solutions, & initiating corrective action by working with different teams.
  • Execute timely monthly production processes and controls across Business Actuals and Business Forecasting deliverables using vendor software like Quantitative Risk Management (QRM).
  • Own testing of upstream and downstream changes on both a regular and ad-hoc project basis (example: update of firmwide reference data to inform changes to any Business / Treasury related reference data).
  • Partner with Technology team to track production system performance vs defined metrics / Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Partner with 2nd Line of Defense (Risk) and Internal Audit through regular reviews, address challenges and action items.
  • Ensure all the job responsibilities are performed in compliance with BNYM standard governance practices.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • 5+yrs of experience in SQL including but not limited to:
    • Writing complex SQL scripts
    • Performing ad-hoc data analysis
    • Identifying data issues proactively and timely highlighting it to stakeholders
    • Using modelling tools and techniques, analyze and specify the design to build use case.
  • People with Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) experience required.
  • Experience in debugging issues and coming up with solutions using SQL required.
  • Knowledge of operational job scheduler preferred.
  • Hands on experience in data modelling is preferred.
    • Working with the development team to create conceptual data models and data flows.
    • Developing best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within the system.
    • Reviewing modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility.
  • Experience in Corporate Finance / Treasury, Bank or Asset and Liability Management (ALM) would be preferred.
  • Knowledge of any data visualization / reporting tools like Power BI, Tableau, Cubas, etc. would be beneficial.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field required, Master's degree - MCA or equivalent preferred.
  • Candidate must be a self-starter, willing to learn new content and tools/processes quickly in order to contribute as quickly as possible.
  • Communication ability via video conferencing will be a key factor in final candidate decisions.
  • Knowledge of a bank's balance sheet and financial instruments, finance / management reporting systems, Net Interest Income / Expense calculations would be beneficial.
