The Markets business helps our clients formulate, implement and operationalize their investment strategies. It provides clients with financing, execution, liquidity and collateral solutions that are integrated with BNY Mellon's asset servicing ecosystem. The Markets division is primarily organized into four Lines of Business: i) Foreign Exchange; ii) Securities Finance; iii) Liquidity and Margin Services; and, iv) Fixed Income and Equities (FIEQ)
We're seeking a future team member for the role of Lead Analyst, Trading Services to join our Securities Finance team. This role is located in London.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with borrowers and internal partners including global trading desks, trade support, product, operations and client servicing teams.
- Work closely with operations teams to minimize all risk situations. Liaise with trading desks, collateral support and corporate actions teams to promote efficiencies throughout the trading process.
- Work with operations and brokers to ensure all trades settle on time and work with the senior traders to highlight any potential issues, including CSDR fail costs.
- Provide analytical support to senior traders to help maximize return from BNY Mellon's lending portfolio.
- Analyse and interpret data, in order to make, support, and articulate trading decisions.
- Assist the trading team in the review, integration and deployment of new and existing technology tools to further automate trading processes.
- Provide support and monitor auto borrow platforms and provide assistance if issues occur.
- Ensure all daily check lists and compliance reporting are completed and uploaded as required.
- Assist the desk in compiling market commentary for senior management & client communications.
- Provide front office support for SLZ trading platform on an on-going basis, covering any trading related issues, enhancements and liaising with the tech team for resolution and/or implementation.
- Respond to queries and issues raised by the global trading desks with regards to lending activity, be able to provide support and assistance in any queries and issued related to SLZ as they arise.
- Continuously develop and innovative practices to improve procedures and functions related to trading and its support functions.
- Maths & Economics A levels or equivalent Degree
- Relevant experience in financial markets and securities lending preferred
- Good technology skills
