We're seeking a future team member for the role of Lead Analyst, Market Intelligence/Research/Strategy to join our Global Client Management team. This role is in Pune, Maharashtra - Hybrid model.

Shift Timings: EMEA

Position summary:

Facilitate, development of new business, retaining of existing revenue streams, and broadening of existing relationships, through sound research and analytics of the firms most strategic clients.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • You will facilitate, development of new business, retaining of existing revenue streams, and broadening of existing relationships, through sound research and analytics of the firms most strategic clients.
  • This role will support several account coverage teams, conducting client research by leveraging internal and external databases.
  • This information is to be summarized and circulated to the global account coverage teams as appropriate to facilitate the account planning process and strategic partnering of GCM's Client and Senior Executives with their covered client base.
  • Client research will actively focus on the composition of a client's assets and footprint, of a client's various partners for a wide variety of services provided by BNY Mellon, spanning both investment management and investment services, and of their organizational structure.
  • This research will be conducted with a variety of industry information systems, including Morningstar Direct, S&P Capital IQ, Refinitiv Eikon, Newsdesk, as well as company's annual reports and filings.
  • The ability to draw conclusions from large amounts of data and then clearly communicate those insights to the coverage teams is a key function of this role.
  • The work performed by this role is very high impact, as business strategy for our strategic clients will be developed based on the research and analysis provided by this individual.
  • Interactions would occur with our global account coverage Client Executives and Analysts and so the candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced global team.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • 4 - 6 years prior experience at a leading financial institution in similar roles - with extensive experience conducting client/industry/competitor research
  • Good understanding of financial services industry, financial markets, and key functions within these companies
  • Logical thinker with demonstrably strong analytical skills
  • Ability to summarize and provide insights from industry reports/articles
  • Fair understanding of financial statements and ability to synthesize company/industry/macroeconomic data
  • Experience working on external data platforms like, S&P Capital IQ, Refinitiv Eikon, etc.
  • Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills; must be comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization.
  • Someone known for getting things done. A self-starter with a bias for action. Someone who typically steps forward to take ownership and doesn't hide from accountability
  • Someone able to work effectively under pressure in a fluid environment where boundaries may be blurred
  • Someone naturally attentive to detail, with high standards for quality and accuracy in their work
  • A collaborative, team-oriented, consultative professional, able to effect outcomes through influencing
