We're seeking a future team member for the role of Intermediate Representative, Client Processing to join our Pershing Cash team. Pershing provides a broad range of financial business solutions to investment banks, broker-dealers, wealth managers, financial planners and advisers across EMEA. We provide sophisticated front-end technology and flexible middle office capabilities with execution, settlement and custody services. These are supported by a robust regulatory and compliance framework with dedicated client asset experience and expertise. This role is located in Liverpool and is hybrid.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Responsible for the processing of inward and outward payments on an accurate and timely basis. Monitoring bank accounts for all currencies
  • Check & prepare client payments via SWIFT, CHAPS, BACS and cheques from the overnight processing and same day requests. Instruct manual foreign payments for clients / market makers via SWIFT or TT.
  • Reconciliation of incoming funds to client accounts. Unapplied & Unidentified funds process. Managing return of funds
  • Review of Cash Breaks and escalation
  • Monitor bad debts over 60 days and ensure clearance or cover and produce reports
  • Ensure that all Client and Remedy queries and calls are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure procedures and control models are kept up to date and provide input to business process improvements
  • Compliance with relevant FCA, JFSC & CBI regulations
  • Performs (sometimes complex) operational tasks in a product or functional area, including processing updates to client accounts or company records. Conducts independent analysis and policy interpretation.
  • Executes all correspondent requisites in a timely and accurate manner with an understanding of the underlying business and specific client needs.
  • Accurately opens and updates accounts or company records.
  • Provides product knowledge, technical assistance & subject matter expertise as appropriate
  • Responsible for the quality and completion of own work. Maintain positive working relationships with all clients & business units
  • Any other processes that may be required with growth in client base or changes to operating model
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • Previous experience of cash processing or payments would be an advantage as would a knowledge of SWIFT message formatting, CHAPS and BACS Payments
  • Understanding of general banking processes (clearance periods, cut off times etc.)
  • Breaks management and Cash Reconciliations
  • High level of accuracy is required
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office products, with an excellent knowledge of Excel
  • Good organising and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise workloads
  • Effective Team player
