We're seeking a future team member for the role of HR Lead Advisor to join our APAC Human Resources team. This role is located in Hong Kong - Hybrid.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Play a leadership role in the delivery and execution of a full spectrum of HR solutions and services working closely with the relevant HR Centers of Excellence to deliver these solutions
  • As a senior HR overseeing employees in Hong Kong, you will represent BNY Mellon to Hong Kong regulatory bodies.
  • Manage the HR governance and control for Hong Kong Branch as a subject matter expert, managing the Plan/review/report of all regulatory reports and attending the local governance committee meetings as representative from HR.
  • Work includes but is not limited to highly complex aspects of Year-End Compensation Planning, Annual Talent review and Succession planning, Performance Management
  • May interface with the LOB, COE and Global Strategic Business Partners. Manages and/or coordinates the delivery and execution of HR solutions of core COE-designed processes including Talent and Development, Compensation & Mobility, Employee Relations, M&A and Special Projects across specified internal client groups as a HR Strategic Business partner in APAC.
  • Build stakeholder relationships and work closely with senior leaders and managers to ensure all HR policies, practices and initiatives are aligned and in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Partner with Head of Employee Relations APAC to manages and/or coordinates the intake and triage and/or coordinates within set guidelines on sensitive and highly complex Employee Relations cases, manager inquiries, etc
  • Acts as an escalation point on more highly complex matters and liaises with HRBPs, LOB and COEs.
  • Comfortable operating in a strategic and hands-on role
  • Align and drive business objectives with people priorities

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required
  • Advanced degree or certification preferred. 12+ years of progressive related experience preferred with demonstrated success in Talent Management, organizational Design, Change Management, Workforce Planning, Talent Acquisition, or Total Rewards Planning.
  • Proven track record of implementing people priorities
  • Ability to interpret and apply local labour regulations, policies, and guidelines
  • Demonstrated growth mindset and positive approach to drive solutions
  • Demonstrate strong professional credibility and build on-going relationships as a trusted advisor with managers and leaders
