Functional Title - Group Manager, Agile Practices

BNY Mellon Issuer Services provides world-class servicing for two sides of clients' financing needs: debt and equity. It combines our leading Corporate Trust and Depositary Receipts businesses to offer both issuers and investors more comprehensive and flexible options.

Issuer Services Technology comprised of Corporate Trust and Depositary Receipt businesses which provide world-class equity and debt servicing. Corporate Trust technology is responsible for providing development, maintenance and risk management services for the portfolio of proprietary and third-party applications sued to support the $1.4B Corporate Trust business. Depositary Receipts technology provides a broad spectrum of intranet-based technology supporting the Depositary Receipt business division.

Role Description :
  • Manages mid-sized teams of Agile Coach/scrum leader, helps small, large teams/units or individuals in the adoption and improvement of Agile methods and practices.
  • Serves as consultant on Agile practices, methodology and strategy across a business line to develop and implement new process to solve relative complex problems, providing in-depth analysis, supports technical design.
  • Leads change and integration of functions and partners with senior management and cross functional teams to meet goals and implement processes.
  • Influences and negotiates with senior leaders within a line of business.
  • Serves as consultant on Agile practices, methodology and strategy across large or several business lines to develop and implement new process, providing in-depth analysis to arrive solutions with interpretative thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Supports the technical design, test plans, documentation and implementation/conversion strategy.
  • Leads change and integration of functions and partners with multiple senior management teams to meet goals and implement processes.
  • Solves the high profiles problems with significant business impact through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards.
  • Participates in some client forums.
  • Writes white papers in area of expertise.
  • Influences and negotiates with senior leaders (across functions).
  • Impacts the business through contribution to technical direction and strategic decisions.
  • Leads a mid-sized team of Agile Coaches/Scrum Leaders, or individual involved in Agile transformation from the line of business.
  • Contributes to the achievement of team objectives.

Requirement:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or technical-related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in providing consulting advice to senior IT and business management required.
  • Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
  • Drive Change Enablement.
  • Knowledge of Agile Methods.
  • Ability to drive consensus and resolve conflicts across multiple parties.
  • Project Management within Development Life Cycle (DLC).
  • Knowledge of Story Point Estimation, User Story Writing, and Prioritization Techniques.
