Across our organization, we have recognized the need for a transformational shift from traditional waterfall methodologies to agile practices. As such, we are currently looking to hire Director-level Agile Coaches across various technology groups to guide and support our organization through this transition. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our company and help foster a culture of collaboration, adaptability, and continuous improvement. These roles will be based out of our New York, NY, Pittsburgh, PA, and Lake Mary, FL offices (hybrid).

You will have an impact in following ways:
• Coach and mentor teams, executives, and stakeholders on agile principles, practices, and frameworks. Your expertise and guidance will be instrumental in fostering an environment of collaboration, empowerment, and innovation, enabling teams to deliver high-quality products and services more efficiently.
• Assess Current State: Conduct a thorough assessment of the organization's existing processes, culture, and practices to identify opportunities for agile transformation.
• Agile Transformation Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive agile transformation strategy tailored to the organization's needs and objectives
• Provide hands-on coaching and mentoring to teams, Scrum Masters, product owners, and stakeholders to build their agile skills, mindset, and knowledge.
• Training and Workshops: Design and deliver training sessions, workshops, and interactive sessions to educate individuals and teams on agile principles
• Agile Framework Implementation: Guide teams in selecting and implementing appropriate agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and ensure alignment with the organization's needs.
• Facilitate and coach teams in conducting agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Agile Metrics and Reporting: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of agile adoption and provide regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Change Management: Drive organizational change by promoting agile values, principles, and practices. Work closely with leadership to ensure buy-in and support for agile transformation initiatives.
• Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging experimentation, learning, and adapting agile practices based on feedback and insights.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
• Extensive experience working in agile environments, with a focus on coaching and mentoring teams in agile methodologies.
• Proven track record of leading successful agile transformations within enterprise organizations, preferably with a transition from waterfall to agile.
• In-depth knowledge of agile principles, values, and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and the ability to tailor them to specific organizational needs.
• Strong coaching and facilitation skills, with the ability to effectively guide and mentor individuals, teams, and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with senior executives and stakeholders.
• Experience in conducting assessments and providing recommendations for process improvement and organizational change.
• Ability to design and deliver training programs, workshops, and interactive sessions on agile methodologies and practices.
• Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), or Agile Certified Coach (ACC) are highly desirable.

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $136,000 and $220,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
