Cayman General Manager

Overview
Primary purpose is to (1) oversee the proper and smooth running of the Cayman operation and represent the Company as Director and General Manager, (2) develop policies and procedures in compliance with all local statutory regulations and Bank policies, (3) ensure services are delivered in compliance with client fund governing documentation, (4) responsible for new in conversion of new business, (5) oversee processes of outsourced services and ensure compliance with intercompany agreements (6) oversee corporate accounting process and review financial records, annual budgets, annual audits (7) responsible for HR, Facilities, BCP and IT of the Company and (8) provide guidance on Cayman legal, regulatory and operational issues to local staff and external parties within the Bank or third parties.The GM must possess the core professional management and accounting skills and experience necessary to manage a Cayman Fund Administration Trust operation. Additionally, the individual must have a knowledge of U.S. and International GAAP, worldwide investment products, complex financial instruments including derivative products and global securities markets. Furthermore, strong verbal and communication skills are essential. Most importantly, the GM must possess the level of confidence necessary to independently run a successful fund administration trust business. The GM must also quickly develop knowledge of:The Cayman offshore regulatory and operating environments. The systems used by BNY Cayman.BNY Mellon¿s service delivery environment and its product line as it relates to the fund industry and the domestic and global custody network.BNY Cayman¿s client and competitors. Ensure company complies with the statutory requirements of its two business licenses (Trust license and Fund Administrator license) and other local laws (Trust Law, Mutual Funds Law, Companies Law, AML Regulations, Immigration Law, Employment Law etc.), ensure that each fund in the fund portfolio operates in line with its governing documents and in line with statutory laws, ensure oversight policies and procedures are established and implemented to effectively discharge trustee fiduciary responsibilities, ensure trustee services are delivered with a high level of professionalism, quality and is timely, ensure client relationship issues that surface are promptly addressed, ensure all significant risks are properly & timely identified, assessed and mitigated, ensure we accept good business that does not create undue risk, and ensure smooth running of local operations and that staffing levels and competencies are adequate to meet on going challenges.All of the above factors have their unique issues and complexity which need to be anticipated, when possible, to minimize/avoid fallout.Middle office position which includes overall responsibility of operations, financial and management. Communication is all encompassing. Role is critical to expand business while minimizing fiduciary and operational risk. Provide guidance on local laws, operational issues, policies and procedures to the Bank¿s network. Decisions are made at a Director¿s level as well as at the level of Money Laundering Reporting Officer and Compliance Officer.Interaction includes internal parties (senior management, Legal, Custody, Operations, RM¿s and Sales, etc), clients, external parties (sponsor¿s counsel, investment managers, trustee¿s counsel, auditors, local regulatory authorities) Strong verbal and communication skills are essentialCPA.
