Big Data Engineer

We're seeking a future team member in the role of Big Data Engineer to join our Enterprise Data Management team. This role is in Pittsburgh, PA - HYBRID

UCM is bank new client master data platform. It is golden source of truth about our clients and their accounts. As an enterprise level platform, we are responsible to maintain one truth of client. It requires automated data pipeline to curate the big data, find and remediate possible duplication on continuous on-going basis, find match against massive market data source to further improve data quality that will make better sense to multiple line of businesses when served by our platform.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

The UCM platform technology team is looking for an experienced mid-level data engineer to assist with delivering value to enhance current capabilities and integrate with vendor provided data intelligence product. The candidate will be a key engineer who will be ultimately applying bit of data scientist skills, derive the solution to integrate with vendor product capabilities, think big to have entire pipeline on public cloud.

• Strong analytical skills and ability to articulate ideas and design to a group of peers.
• Solid Scala coding skills with Spark/Hadoop eco-system.
• Ability to work with Java and Springboot for API development
• Ability to work with ElasticSearch and Oracle.
• Experience with Containerization, GitLab CI/CI, Junit, Mockito, or other automated build and testing frameworks is also being sought.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

• 3-5 years of experience in software development required.
• Experience working in fast-paced environment.
• Should have thorough knowledge of the software development cycle.
• Must have experience developing data pipeline with Scala, Spark, Hadoop, Airflow.
• Must have knowledge on ElasticSearch,.
• Should have experience with microservices, Java, Rest APIs, SpringBoot, Junit, Oracle.
• Good to have experience with Spark on public cloud with Kubernetes, S3.
• Good to have knowledge on API security using OAuth2.
