We're seeking a future team member for the role of Analyst, Cash Processing/ Fund Transfer to join our Payments operations team. This role is located in Australia.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Monitor client payments, daily cash and wire transactions, and acts as a first line of defence by addressing flags raised by transaction system.
  • Manage the daily processing of cash movements by bank clients and confirm validity of transactions with manager in cash processing and client services managers with connection to clients.
  • Act as point of contact for clients and wire recipients and addresses inquiries and concerns about the transfer process.
  • Monitor payment processing applications. Review and validate payments submitted through various methods. Monitor and flags issues that arise with payment mechanisms and performs production validation.
  • Responsible for ensuring procedures associated with monitoring client funds transfers are followed.
  • Process funds transfer or settlement instruction in accurate and timely manner to ensure adherence to payment cut off time and SLA, escalate issues as needed. Investigate differences in cash processing and perform settlements and reconcilements.
  • Research and resolves complex client inquiries received by phone and email.
  • Adheres to and completes regulatory and compliance monitoring and reporting, as required.
  • Complete setup and testing of the file transfer process and connectivity with clients.
  • Serve as an escalation point for data processing issues and provides input on quality improvement process.
  • Responsible for the quality and completion of own work and support the actional tasks assigned by manager.
  • Assist in collecting US tax documentation for IRS requirements
  • Participate in business initiatives including new projects. Contribute to the achievement of team objectives.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in financial services or payment processing role preferred.
  • Good communication, organizational teamwork, interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of local payments systems (ie. Austraclear), as well as SWIFT payment system preferred.
  • Effective time management skills and able to manage end to end process in high volume days.
  • Excellent attention to details and accuracy in processing in a timely manner.
  • Enthusiasm with operations excellence initiatives to improve efficiency.
  • A strong team player and be able to support others.
  • Flexible with working hours, able to support later hours when required.
