Job Description

The Safety, Health, and Environmental Supervisor position is responsible for maintaining a proactive SHE culture by providing technical leadership and expertise for the manufacturing of BlueTriton Brands products. This position requires close interaction with BTB Technical and Supply Chain associates in all functions, subcontractors, outside vendors and other non-BTB contacts. The principal responsibility is to assure the SHE program is fully implemented and functional in meeting compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, regulations, guidelines and BTB key performance indicators (KPIs). The responsibility also encompasses SHE awareness & engagement, and that continuous improvement programs are in place to assure overall competitive. The candidate must have entrepreneurial program building mindset.
The SHE Resource is under direct supervision of the Factory Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:
1.Provide leadership and management skills to assure the Safety/Environmental programs are implemented and maintained in an appropriate manner and within budgetary limits.
2.Assure the BTB SHE program is implemented and maintained with particular emphasis on core regulatory compliance elements assuring BTB operates within applicable internal policies and procedures.
3.Provide required training to maintain SHE awareness & compliance while also meeting BTB key performance indicators (KPIs).
4.Maintain all SH&E programs with compliance/performance measures & report results to operations management team.
6.Provide the technical interface with local/state/federal government agencies as appropriate to maintain effective working relationships and to ensure regulatory compliance.
7.Lead incident investigations, monitor incident root cause & corrective actions for issues such as fire, hazardous materials, unsafe situations, security issues and/or non-compliance issues to prevent recurrence.
8. Manage disposition of all hazardous materials stored in the factory; monitors usage of hazardous materials and makes recommendations as appropriate.
9.Leads on-site safety, environment, and/or emergency management programs designed to respond to individual situations and to improve overall safety conditions in the factory.
10.Keeps current on federal, state, and local legislation regarding NFPA/OSHA/EPA compliance requirements. Maintains knowledge of current and emerging issues and trends in area of regulatory compliance.
11.Supports and maintains site-specific manual, records of inspections, and incidents relating to Safety, Health, Security and Environment.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years of work experience in a workplace Safety, Security, and Environmental program management.
Professional board certification in Safety or Environment preferred but not required
A minimum of 2 years of administration and compliance with State/Federal OSHA, EPA, and local Air Quality Management District.
Education:
Requirements and qualifications for this position may include a bachelor's degree in Safety/ Environment related area or 3+ years of equivalent Safety and/or Environmental program management (commensurate training/certifications & experience with demonstrated results/expertise).
Skills & Knowledge:
Proficient in the use of computers and related software applications. (MS Office/MS Outlook/Web based systems.)
Working knowledge of the beverage or food manufacturing industry.
High level of knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local fire, safety, environmental, and health regulations and procedures, as applied to food manufacturing facilities.
Skill in performing on-site safety and environmental inspections
Strengths in People Management including: communication; leadership; effective presentation skills; coaching; crisis management; motivation; team building; organization; self-starter; time management; stress management.
Listening skills, initiative and autonomy.
