Associate Director, Market Access Operations

How will your role help us transform hope into reality?

As the Associate Director of Market Access Operations, you will play an important role on the Market Access team and across functions, overseeing Specialty Pharmacy operations, data management and assisting with access support. You will report to the Senior Director of Market Access Operations and will engage regularly with Specialty Pharmacy partners to ensure product availability and service execution. You will work closely with the broader Market Access team (especially Field Access and Patient Services), Sales, Marketing, Legal, and Commercial Operations to ensure optimal patient/provider experience.

What will you do?

  • Manages all aspects of Specialty Pharmacy (SP) channel and services operations, including activities related to customer service, product handling and storage, inventory management, performance measurement for services provided by SPs, resolution of field escalations (e.g. problems reported from patients, HUB and/or physicians related to service and product access).
  • Program management of all branded SP and Non-commercial Pharmacy (NCP) programs. Ensures SP and NCP staff is properly trained and defined business rules are consistently followed.
  • Plays an integral role in the patient access process, serving as a point of escalation and overseeing the collaboration between the Field Access Managers and the SPs
  • Oversight and review of payments related to fee-for-service amounts, including scorecard development and tracking of monthly metrics/KPIs for contract and brand performance. Alerts management of trends and recommends process changes.
  • Serves as the main point of contact for the Commercial Operations team for all SP, NCP and Patient Services Program (PSP) data purchases to provide support for data processing escalations and to advise on internal reporting.
  • Data compliance management, including reconciliation with SP/NCP/PSP partners and data aggregation vendor.
  • Leads SP Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with a focus on evaluating overall operational results.
  • Ensures PV compliance across Specialty Pharmacy partners.
  • < 10% travel; periodic visits to external partners and participation in regional/national sales meetings.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
What minimum qualifications do we require?
  • 5-7 years of relevant industry experience in biotech/pharma.
  • Experience managing external partner relationships, program management and program accountability.
What additional qualifications will make you a stronger candidate?
  • Deep understanding of the business of Specialty Pharmacy is essential.
  • Strong understanding of Specialty Pharmacy and Patient Services data, especially status data
  • Experience with oncology and rare diseases
  • Strong patient-focused mindset is required.
  • Experience working with Field Access and/or Patient Services Teams, specifically assisting in removing barriers to access
  • Explores innovative approaches and has a proven track record of achieving operational excellence in the face of challenging goals.
  • Excels in a fast-paced, results-driven, highly accountable environment where you can make a clear impact.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary hiring range for this position will be $185,000 -- $ 230,000. Actual base salary offered for this position will be based on a number of job-related factors, including, but not limited to: experience (including skills and competencies), education, training and internal equity.

This position is also eligible for the following:
