The Bloomberg Data department is responsible for acquiring, interpreting and delivering data insights to our clients. The Data teams work collaboratively to collect, analyze, model and publish the data which is the backbone of our iconic Bloomberg Terminal - the data ultimately feeding and moving the financial markets.

Bloomberg Academy (Data) in Shanghai is an outstanding 4 day personal and professional development program for high potential STEM related degrees University students who will be graduating between September 2024 and August 2026 and who are particularly interested in a career in Bloomberg Data department. During the program, you'll also have a chance to meet and hear from our Data employees to learn about what we do here and how to apply for our internship and graduate opportunities.

Bloomberg Academy (Data) is a great way to learn more about our company and explore a potential career in Data.
You'll need to be:
- Graduating between September 2024 and August 2026
- Have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or other STEM related field
- Experience using technical skills such as programming, data modeling and statistical methods to solve problem
- Ability to prioritize and adapt to tasks accordingly
- Collaboration skills to work across departments and with global teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese
- Right to work in Shanghai for the duration of the Bloomberg Academy (Data) - Shanghai
We'd love to see:
- Previous work, internship and/or academic experience in data analysis, financial market research and/or information technology
- A passion and curiosity about financial and economic data with the aspiration to work in the financial/fintech services industry
