The Client Business (CB) team is responsible for understanding the financial needs of the largest Institutions across APAC and translating these into commercial opportunities for our business. The team works with a wide range of clients including official institutions, insurers, banks, and pension providers to offer the full range of BlackRock active funds, ETFs and alternatives products. The APAC team is based in Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Australia, South Korea and Japan, and works closely with colleagues around the globe to deliver the best of BlackRock to APAC Institutional investors.
Our Korea Client Business team is currently seeking a professional to service our growing client base. The successful candidate would be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with institutional clients to offer BlackRock's investment solution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support and service to clients in Korea;
- Support Client Business (CB) Relationship Managers in business development, including support for Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposal (RFP), due diligence, and presentations requests
- Respond to client inquiries about our products in a thorough, accurate and timely manner;
- Actively contribute to client strategy discussions and share innovative ideas with the lead Relationship Manager (RM);
- Acquire proficiency in internal systems and processes;
- Maintain and update client information regularly for accuracy and completeness;
- Facilitate pre- and post-meeting logistics to ensure smooth operations;
- Commit to understanding market dynamics as part of ongoing professional development;
- Deepen relationship and trust with internal stakeholders both inside/outside Korea.
- Assist, and in some instances, lead prospecting research efforts;
Key Requirements/Qualifications:
- 5-7 years in the financial sector with a BA/BS in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or Marketing;
- Passion to engage and support both liquid asset and private markets asset products and strong statistical acumen;
- Proven client service experience and financial market knowledge;
- Understanding of industry success factors and competitor awareness;
- Analytical skills, ethical integrity, and a client-first attitude;
- Excellent interpersonal and multitasking abilities in a dynamic setting;
- Team-oriented with a positive improvement mindset;
- Proficiency in office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
- Native Korean and proficient English communication skills;
- Bachelor's degree required
