About this role

Team Overview

The APAC Due Diligence Operations (DDO) team based in Taiwan manages the Onboarding of institutional clients and ensures that the reviews conducted are in compliance with BlackRock's AML/KYC policies. With coverage across Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan, the team is equipped with the knowledge of the local regulations, providing AML/KYC guidance to various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the effective execution of the AML/KYC team's strategy and vision.
  • Collaborate with sales and service teams to onboard new clients/investments and refresh existing ones efficiently.
  • Ensure all clients meet applicable AML/KYC requirements and that the appropriate processes are followed to mitigate risk to BlackRock.
  • Work closely with Legal & Compliance to manage exceptions and ensure proper escalation protocols are followed.
  • Accurately capture and maintain relevant AML/KYC data and documentation on an ongoing basis using designated platforms.
  • Ensure all completed AML/KYC documentation is properly filed, stored, and easily retrievable.
  • Support the AML/KYC data requirements for periodic client reviews.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in AML/KYC compliance and client onboarding within the asset management industry.
  • Experience in client-facing roles is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AML/KYC laws and regulations, particularly in Taiwan, is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience with LexisNexis Bridger and/or other sanctions screening and risk rating systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage workload independently and take ownership of tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders across all levels and geographies.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a professional approach to presentation.
  • Collaborative team player, both within the immediate team and across broader support functions.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage expectations and deliver results under pressure.
