The Platform Engineering division architects and builds the fabric that underpins Aladdin, an operating system for investment managers that seeks to connect the information, people and technology needed to manage money in real time. Aladdin is used both internally and externally by many financial institutions. Aladdin combines sophisticated risk analytics with comprehensive portfolio management, trading and operations tools on a single platform to power informed decision-making and build a connective tissue for thousands of users investing worldwide.
The Foundational Services team, is part of the Platform Engineering and is responsible for evolving the strategic environment for Aladdin Applications, by designing and developing the core infrastructure layers of Aladdin including Data Layer, Aladdin Messaging Services, Aladdin Desktop Experience, the Aladdin API Gateway, Aladdin Compute Farm and plays a key role in moving the services into k8s containerized space.

Your role and impact
We are looking for a strong developer for Foundational Services team with C++,Python, DevOps skills. You will be exposed to different components and technologies across the Foundational Services landscape. A successful candidate should demonstrate an attention to detail and a desire to understand the technology at a very deep level and ability to learn new things.
We encourage our developers to be involved from inception of projects, understand requirements, architect, develop, deploy, and maintain applications. Typically they work in a multi-disciplinary squad(we follow Agile!) which involves partnering with program and product managers to expand product offering based on business demands.
Your responsibilities
This could range from changing CI/CD pipelines in Azure, integration of components in Kubernetes, migration to docker - to upgrading core libraries for new features, providing first class production support to our operational teams.
You have
- At least 7+ years of experience with strong understanding of C++ (preferably C++17 and CMake)
- Hands on Python, DevOps experience ,
- Java , perl ,go is a plus
- Experience in high performance software development on Linux with specific experience to develop platform libraries/services: database abstraction, messaging systems, compute grids etc.
- Good Understand design patterns.
- Good communications skills, proven track record of working well in a team both locally and globally.
- Passionate about learning, sharing knowledge, and working with a diverse team of engineers of varying levels of experience.
- Experience in Agile methodology
