Associate/Vice President, Core Portfolio Management - Multi-Asset Strategies & Solutions (MASS)

We are seeking a high-performing Associate/Vice President to join MASS in Taiwan. You'll manage multi-asset and model portfolio solutions for pension funds, insurers and banks. This role is essential to delivering investment outcomes for Taiwan mandates and mutual funds, while driving scalable improvements across the business. You'll collaborate cross-functionally, contribute to investment processes, and engage with clients and internal stakeholders. The role offers considerable scope to influence team success and contribute to MASS's broader growth.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, curious, flexible, and adaptable, with strong English and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Portfolio Management
- Execute trades (equities, ETFs and FX) and monitor cash to align with investment intent and regulatory constraints
- Prepare rebalancing commentary and regular/ad-hoc client reports
- Apply PM tools and systems effectively (e.g., Aladdin)
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Pitch new business opportunities and respond to client queries
- Coordinate with internal teams (Investment, Compliance, Legal, Product, Sales, Ops)
- Lead cross-functional projects such as solution design and onboarding new mandates
- Communicate portfolio positioning and strategy clearly to internal and external stakeholders
- Governance & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure portfolios meet investment guidelines, performance expectations, risk parameters, and regulatory requirements
- Support audit and compliance reviews
- Process Optimization
- Collaborate with tech and PM teams to automate workflows, enhance dashboards and scale reporting tools using Python
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in portfolio management, investment operations, or trading support, preferably within asset management or financial services.
- Eligible to manage multiple Taiwan-domiciled Fund of Funds, with either 2+ years as a lead PM or 1 year as a lead PM plus 1 year as a mandate PM.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills in both English and Mandarin.
- A team player with an ownership and growth mindset, responsiveness to feedback, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Python; familiarity with Aladdin and Bloomberg.
- CFA/CAIA candidacy/designation and knowledge of quantitative research/optimization are a plus
