Associate, Product Strategist

About this role

The iShares EMEA Equity Product Strategy Team is responsible for driving ETF adoption, product innovation and commercialization of the iShares UCITS range across both ETFs and IMF. Within the strategy function, segment specialist teams are the primary commercial axis for execution of client and commercial strategy, aligning with global client, product, and marketing functions to drive scale.

Role Description

The iShares EMEA Equity Product Strategy Team is seeking a Associate to help drive commercialisation of the Sector, Thematic & Commodity (STC) ETP segment: a growing and dynamic range that covers 100 funds.

This role will support investment insights, education, analysis, and content creation to aid and expand our distribution efforts, continuing to position us as the market leader and a strong partner to our clients. You will work closely with the firm's global Fundamental Equity Thematic platform, as well as partners across Sales, Marketing, and the overall ETF business.

Primary Responsibilities:

Drive distribution initiatives through data analysis and client-ready insights covering sector and thematic trends, fundamental data, competitor positioning, and ETF industry developments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of the product range, from fund structures, to index methodologies, investment theses and client use cases
• Analysis and Insights: Leverage external research, fundamental data, and industry trends to form investment theses and conclusions.
• Content production: Maintain and update existing content pieces, and help produce new insights for end-clients.
• Collaboration: Work horizontally with partner teams from investment strategy, portfolio consulting, asset allocation, research and marketing.
• Engagement: Conceive and activate initiatives with salespeople to target key asset-gathering opportunities, and present to end-clients.

• 2-5 years industry experience, specifically investment management knowledge and background.
• Curious and entrepreneurial mindset, with a broad understanding of market history. Technologist preferred.
• Strong analytical background, with ability to synthesize complex information. Experience in Bloomberg, Factset advantageous.
• Experience in a client-facing role (investment consulting/sales) preferable.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in a European language preferred, esp. German, Italian.
