About this role
We are seeking a high-performing Associate to join the Portfolio Management Group (PMG) in Taiwan, supporting the Taiwan active investment platform. This role is critical in ensuring the effective implementation of investment strategies across Taiwan-domiciled mandates and regional portfolios, while also contributing to the evolution of our operational and technology stack.
Key Responsibilities:
- Portfolio Implementation & Oversight
- Execute equity, FX, and derivative orders across Taiwan and regional portfolios in coordination with global trading desks.
- Monitor portfolio exposures, cash balances, and hedging strategies to ensure alignment with investment intent and regulatory constraints.
- Support the implementation of ESG and proxy voting policies, including Taiwan-specific thresholds (e.g., 5% float ownership rule for voting disclosure)

- Process Optimization & Citizen Development
- Identify and automate semi-manual workflows using low-code/scripting tools (e.g., Power Automate, PowerBI, Open Aladdin, Python)
- Partner with regional Core PMs and Technology teams to prototype and deploy scalable solutions that enhance data quality, reduce operational risk, and improve efficiency
- Maintain and enhance internal dashboards, reporting tools, and reconciliation processes
- Governance & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure adherence to Taiwan FSC and global regulatory requirements, including fund classification, disclosure, and ESG integration standards
- Participate in internal control reviews and contribute to RCSA documentation and remediation efforts
- Support audit and compliance requests related to Taiwan mandates and cross-border fund structures
- Collaboration & Communication
- Act as a liaison between the Taiwan investment team and regional/global stakeholders including Trading, Compliance, Legal, and Operations
- Contribute to weekly APAC Core PM updates and cross-market initiatives
- Support onboarding of new mandates and client reporting deliverables
Key Qualifications:
- 3-6 years of experience in portfolio management, investment operations, or trading support, preferably within asset management or financial services
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel (including VBA), and familiarity with Aladdin, Bloomberg, or similar platforms
- Experience with or interest in citizen development tools (e.g., Power BI, Power Apps, Python, SQL) is highly desirable
- Knowledge of Taiwan's mutual fund regulatory environment and ESG landscape is a plus
- Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin
