Make Your Mark:

BlackLine's Go-To-Market (GTM) team is seeking an experienced manager to join our GTM Business Intelligence team. This role merges the responsibilities of analyzing, reporting, and visualizing data related to the customer revenue journey with guiding recommendations and providing business insights to transform data-driven analyses into actionable strategies. You will play a crucial part in leveraging GTM performance data and insights to shape GTM strategies, optimize revenue generation, and align with BlackLine's overall GTM strategy. Additionally, you will support the development of pipeline targets, measure sales performance, and improve reporting processes to promote alignment between financial goals and GTM execution.

You'll Get To:

Data Analysis and Insights and:

  • Oversee sales performance analytics, including the development of sales scorecards to track sales metrics, sales enablement effectiveness, and sales attainment.
  • Conduct comprehensive data analysis to understand the customer revenue journey, from pricing strategies to revenue growth and customer retention.
  • Synthesis and establish reporting cadence of key sales performance insights, ensuring executive and stakeholder alignment to key strategic initiatives.
  • Create visually compelling dashboards and data visualizations using tools like Tableau to track and communicate GTM performance metrics.
  • Lead partner analytics, develop reporting frameworks, dashboards, and ad-hoc analyses to provide actionable insights into partner performance.

GTM Planning:

  • Work closely with the Finance and Compensation teams to drive GTM planning process (forecast and modeling, investment ROI analysis, HC planning, assist in quota and capacity setting).
  • Collaborate with finance and other stakeholders to measure ongoing business performance against growth targets to influence day-to-day operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key business questions and translate them into analytical projects that drive business value.
  • Drive operational efficiency by identifying bottlenecks in GTM processes and revenue-related technology solutions (Salesforce, Gong, Clari, etc.), recommend opportunities for improvement.

What You'll Bring:

Years of Experience in Related Field: 5-7

Education: Bachelors or similar degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, or similar field

Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Business Analytics, Marketing Analytics, Data Science, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or related roles within the technology, B2B, and SaaS industry
  • Experience with GTM strategies, customer lifecycle analysis, and subscription-based business models
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize data to tell a story in order to inform strategic decision making
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to think strategically, and define and evaluate business processes
  • Effective decision making, critical thinking, and judgement skills
  • Strong change management skills
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
  • Provide limited supervision to others through motivation, direction, review and feedback of assigned tasks.
  • Supervise others work through the planning and scheduling of work, and review and approval.
  • Supervise/manage/direct the selection, training, development and appraisal of personnel.
  • Supervise/manage/direct the selection, training, development, appraisal and work assignments of personnel.

We're Even More Excited If You Have:

  • Experience with Tableau, Clari, Gong and Salesforce
  • Experienced in data analysis tools and languages such as SQL for querying databases and extracting relevant data
  • Familiarity with Google BigQuery
  • Previous experience working with Data Scientists to build machine learning prediction models is a plus

Salary Range:

USD $112,000.00 - USD $149,000.00

Pay Transparency Statement:

Placement within this range depends upon several factors, including the applicant's prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, BlackLine also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans.
