Trainee, Market Access (f/m/d)
About the program:
The Market Access trainee program intends to attract qualified young professionals (e.g. health economists, economists, or graduates from life sciences / natural sciences disciplines or comparable) from academia or comparable institutions who seek a career in the pharmaceutical industry. This is a 24 month program with comprising rotations in different teams within the Market Access department and cross-functional departments (Marketing, Medical, Regulatory). Main role of the trainee is to gain experience and perspective in varied aspects of Market Access (New products incl. HTA and Pricing, Late Life Cycle incl. rebates and Biosimilars) and departments with cross-functional work relationships regarding Market Access projects (Marketing, Medical, Regulatory). The Trainee will run defined projects in close alignment with the mentor and gain experience via rotations in all parts of the Market Access department and cross-functions.

What You'll Do:
General
The program consists of approx. 5 stations in different teams within the Market Access department (AMNOG, Late life cycle) and cross-functional departments (Marketing, Medical, Regulatory). The trainee will start within the Market Access AMNOG team, including HTA and pricing for new products. In addition the incumbent will get insights in the working structure of the Market Access department of the German affiliate, learn main priorities for the Market Access department and will contribute to assigned projects.
Responsibilities in the rotations will include:
Market Access - AMNOG team
- The trainee will support the HTA and pricing team on a daily base and will perform assigned tasks and responsibilities
- She / he will gain insights and experiences in HTA processes, pricing processes, the development of overall market access strategies for new products and the development of pricing strategies and prepare for pricing councils
- The incumbent will learn the requirements regarding evidence generation and phase III study design incl. potential HTA advice meetings
Market Access - Late Life Cycle Team
- The trainee will gain experience in the specific requirements of biosimilars and late life cycle business topics within the Market Access department
- The incumbent will be trained in long-term market access strategies in life cycle management as well as in the management of rebates
- Field based Market Access projects and an introduction to relevant responsibilities will complement the rotation
Marketing, Medical and Regulatory department
- The trainee will support the Marketing department in assigned projects, e.g. launch preparations and/or the development of launch strategies
- The trainee will gain Medical project management experience within assigned projects and/or the development of launch strategies, will be introduced to the process of pipeline medical sponsorships and will support the build-up of the clinical study information resources
- Within the Regulatory Department, the trainee will support assigned projects and/or launch preparations in areas like general workflows and lifecycle management of products authorized under the centralized procedure, management of local implementation of label updates and interactions with National Health Authorities

Requirements:
- Masters degree or PhD in natural or life sciences, engineering, health economics, economics or comparable degree
- No specific experience for the entry level job required, but internship experience or experience as Working Student in Market Access and/or other relevant departments strongly preferred
- First basic understanding of and strong interest in regional / national Market Access structures
- High affinity for Market Access department and relevant topics
- High attention to detail and pro-active, self-motivated attitude
- Fluent in German language and good command of English language at presentation-level
