About This Role:

As the Team Lead for External Stakeholder Engagement & Sponsorships, you will be a vital part of the GBS CoE ESE and Sponsorship Team, responsible for supporting processes at global, regional, and country levels. You will manage a team and collaborate with Engagement and Sponsorship Owners across all functions to plan future engagements, guide through requirements, and optimize review processes. This position is crucial for enhancing operational support, driving improvements, and ensuring seamless service delivery. Your role will add value by maintaining efficient service flow, building relationships, and acting as a key resource for internal and external customers, ensuring continuity and meeting desired service levels within Biogen's framework.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead a team of 4-10 Analysts in supporting Engagement Owners and Sponsorship Owners with end-to-end processes.
  • Act as an advisor to direct reports, setting strategy and developing new capabilities and solutions for the team.
  • Drive process improvements within GBS CoE ESE and Sponsorship Services.
  • Identify and communicate risks, supporting recommendations and implementing corrective actions.
  • Provide operational guidance and administrative support for stakeholder engagements and sponsorship requests.
  • Ensure compliance by maintaining up-to-date work instructions and guidelines.
  • Onboard, plan, and coordinate training for new team members on ESE and Sponsorships processes and platforms.
  • Investigate and analyze possible solutions, exercising judgment based on experience.
  • Manage service delivery expectations and monitor effectiveness.
  • Act as a subject matter expert of the ESE tool, supporting project budget management and stakeholder engagements.
  • Manage timelines for contracting, payments, and closeout processes.
  • Collaborate with internal business partners to ensure service delivery and lead Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in managing sponsorship requests, including organization qualification and due diligence.
  • Support internal/external audits and advise on procedural, contractual, or financial processes.

Required Skills:

  • University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 4-6 years experience in a fast-paced administration or operational role, preferably within Pharma/Biotech.
  • People management or Cross Functional Project Management experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to deal with high levels of ambiguity and complexity.
  • Exceptional team player with strong influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience with managing processes.
  • Experience with workflow programs and MS Office tools.
