About This Role

The Senior Manager, SMA HCP Marketing position is an exciting opportunity to join Biogen's dynamic and high-growth Rare Disease Franchise. In this role, you will define the HCP personal promotional, peer-to-peer and Congress strategy in a rapidly evolving therapeutic landscape with high unmet need, Spinal Muscular Atrophy.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee creation of field team tools (e.g., iVA, case studies, reprint carriers) and ensure alignment to overall brand strategy-including targeting, messaging and customer segmentation-and work with Training to ensure training and roll-out plan is in place
  • Partner closely with Field Leadership to prioritize, focus, and gain alignment on the most impactful tactics and messages to deliver brand objectives
  • Work with P2P Agency to develop compelling HCP Programming and partner with TLL team to recruit leading KMEs to craft and deliver content
  • Prioritize time in field and ensure the customer viewpoint is represented in materials and initiative internally
  • Develop Congress strategy-including booth, Ad Boards, product theater, and bag inserts-and identify opportunities for collaboration across the Rare Disease Franchise, as appropriate
  • Manage HCP Speaker Bureau and lead Annual Stakeholder Engagement Plan on behalf of Marketing Team
  • Maintain strong relationships with cross-functional partners (e.g., Field, TLL, Medical, Market Access, Training, Legal, Compliance, Regulatory, Finance)
  • Lead P2P and personal promotional planning efforts for LCM and launch planning, as appropriate
  • Ensure all specific HCP initiatives-including marketing programs and campaigns-are executed effectively, within budget and in accordance with all Regulatory, Legal, and Compliance requirements
  • Manage agency spend and overall brand resources effectively, ensure accountability for timelines and overall project deliverables, and proactively communicate issues early
  • Prioritize and lead multiple projects, and effectively influence, collaborate, and communicate with internal and external partners to advance brand objectives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
  • 5+ years pharma and/or biotech commercial experience; minimum 2 years marketing - consulting or agency experience also considered
  • Excellent communication/coordination/interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively write and deliver presentations to senior management and customers
  • Ability to think innovatively in terms of engaging with customers and meeting their need
  • Available for approximately 20% travel

Additional Information

The base compensation range for this role is: $144,000.00-$193,000.00

Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.

Regular employees are eligible to receive both short term and long-term incentives, including cash bonus and equity incentive opportunities, designed to reward recent achievements and recognize your future potential based on individual, business unit and company performance.
