Sr Manager, IT Project Management
About This Role:
As the Senior Manager of Project Management within the Global Commercial & Medical IT team, you will lead complex, cross-functional projects that are critical to our organizational success. Your primary focus will be managing the scope, schedule, budget, and quality of these initiatives, ensuring alignment with our policies and standards. You will break down business needs into manageable work packages, sequence activities, and develop realistic schedules, guiding your team from project initiation through hypercare. This role requires keen attention to detail, a proactive approach to risk management, and effective communication with IT and business stakeholders. You will play a pivotal role in assessing and refining project management processes, driving improvements that benefit the organization. Reporting to the Associate Director of Program Management for Global Commercial and Medical IT, your contributions will be integral to enhancing our project delivery capabilities.
What You'll Do:
- Lead highly complex cross-functional technology projects and programs, managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, issues, risks, and communication.
- Develop and implement strategies for improving project execution across the organization.
- Identify and recommend improvements to GCM tools and techniques for project management, risk and financial management, and communication.
- Actively drive large projects/programs ensuring cross-functional alignment on scope, schedule, resources, and budgets.
- Hold team members accountable for their roles, ensuring timely and high-quality program/project delivery.
- Engage stakeholders, managing relationships with the Leadership Team and Financial Partners.
- Communicate financial status, schedule, risks, issues, and successes clearly and transparently to all stakeholders.
- Facilitate cross-team discussions to maintain accurate and up-to-date integrated plans and RAID logs.
- Address project schedule, scope, and budget deviations by deciding appropriate adjustments.
- Update project plans as needed to maintain scope, schedule, budget, and quality.

Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience implementing complex, cross-functional projects within established software development life cycle methodologies.
- 5+ years of practical experience with Agile methodologies, certification preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Financial discipline and accountability for deliverables.
- Ability to work well under pressure and with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
Preferred Skills:
- Some Biotech Industry experience and/or working in a GXP environment.
- Experience in one or more of the following tools: JIRA, Smartsheet, Asana, MS Project.
- Experience with process improvement and standardization in project management.
- Strong ability in stakeholder engagement and communication.
- Experience in driving accountability in cross-functional teams.

Additional Information
The base compensation range for this role is: $137,000.00-$184,000.00
Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
