About This Role:
As a Senior Inventory Control Associate I - Maintenance, you will serve as a pivotal Subject Matter Expert (SME) within our site operations. Your expertise in procuring parts, managing inventory, and asset linkages, coupled with CMMS planning and inventory management, will underpin the efficiency and effectiveness of our Maintenance, Manufacturing, Metrology, and Engineering teams. You will act in a lead capacity, mentoring junior staff, spearheading inventory-related projects, and driving continuous improvement within the inventory control function of the Maintenance Reliability group. By developing and tracking performance measures, you will maintain a clear view of our inventory health and ensure operational excellence. This role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of inventory management, offering strategic support and guidance while functioning as the primary contact for all MRO purchases and stock-related issues.

What You’ll Do:

  • Procure parts and manage parts inventory effectively, ensuring seamless support to various departments.
  • Provide CMMS planning and perform PM revisions to maintain a high standard of preventive maintenance practices.
  • Act as a lead, offering guidance and mentorship to less senior inventory control staff, enhancing team capabilities.
  • Manage the completion of inventory operation projects and programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of planned preventive maintenance techniques and mechanical equipment to support cross-functional teams.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all inventory-related matters, from MRO purchases to stock inquiries.
  • Develop and report on key performance indicators to monitor the health of the inventory control function.
  • Initiate and execute continuous improvement actions to optimize inventory management processes.
  • Manage CMMS inventory system operations, including purchasing, receiving, and issuing inventory based on work order and PM demand.
  • Establish recommended stock levels and reorder points for spare parts to prevent stock-outs and identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Update CMMS asset records, link parts to assets, conduct periodic reorders, and oversee physical inventory counts.
  • Establish fiscal Blanket PO's, process requisitions, track expenditures against the budget, and report status to the Cost Center Manager and Finance Department.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma (required).
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in inventory control or a related field.
  • Highly organized with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of inventory control techniques and best practices.
  • Strong working knowledge and competency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Ability to lead and mentor less experienced staff effectively.
  • Experience in developing and reporting on inventory performance measures.
  • Skillful in continuous improvement processes and bringing actions to closure.
  • Proficient in managing inventory systems including purchasing, receiving, and issuing processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct ABC analysis and physical inventory counts.
  • Capable of establishing and maintaining fiscal controls through Blanket PO's and requisition processes.

Additional Information

The base salary range for this position is $89,000 - $103,000. Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
