About This Role
The Principal Clinical Data Steward curates and prepares clinical trial data for reuse across Biogen and with external research partners. Reporting into the Data Stewardship team within Statistical Programming, Digital and Data Sciences, this role ensures sensitive data is anonymized to meet privacy regulations like GDPR while preserving its scientific value. Also, the incumbent builds dashboards and tools that show what data exists, how it can be accessed, and how it can be used. The ultimate goal: accelerate science by making high-quality clinical data easier to use, share, and trust.
What You'll Do
- Transform and anonymize clinical data (e.g. SDTM/ADaM) to support secondary research
- Build and maintain tools and dashboards to help users explore, access, and understand available data
- Partner with internal and external researchers to enable appropriate data access and reuse
- Collaborate with statistical programming, biostatistics, IT and other teams to enhance clinical data stewardship
- Apply FAIR principles to enhance data discoverability, accessibility, and reusability

Who You Are
You're a skilled data wrangler; able to understand what stakeholders need and work through the detail to create it. You're a self-starter, eager to learn and up for a challenge.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's Degree or higher required
- Minimum of 5 years experience working with clinical data in a Pharma, Biotech or Healthcare industry setting
- Expertise in tools for data engineering, analysis and visualization (e.g., Python, R, SAS, Power BI)
- Hands-on experience with data anonymization methods and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
- Expertise in clinical data standards (e.g., SDTM, ADaM)
- Deep understanding of FAIR data principles and data stewardship best practices
- Strong collaboration and cross-functional teamwork abilities across technical and non-technical stakeholders

Additional Information
The base compensation range for this role is: $119,000.00-$160,000.00
Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
