As Medical Science Manager, you will look after the North region of China, based in Beijing, working in close collaboration with HCPs externally and the commercial team internally. In the meanwhile, you will have opportunities to work closely with National strategic team to contribute to the SMA product strategy development. With Tofersen pre-launch plan initiation in China, ALS related communication &  education would be also key tasks. Furthermore, the Medical Science Manager will be in the Biogen global medical family and have close interaction with Global medical experts.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • To establish, develop and maintain medical scientific collaborative relationships with current and future therapeutic experts in spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), ALS and other NMD products in development.
  • To disseminate high quality complex scientific information and provide innovative medical education content.
  • To generate medical insights and provide research concepts to therapeutic experts to facilitate patient management and care.
  • To oversee expanded access programs (EAPs) for therapies under development.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, scientific and non-scientific, throughout all levels and geographies of an organization, in English and Chinese.
  • MSL experience for at least 3 years. Ideally, medical/scientific experience in rare diseases/Neurological area
  • Working knowledge of Regulatory Affairs, Drug Safety, Legal and compliance environment.
  • Good team player fits in the environment with international, diverse, team work culture
  • Strong customer orientation, science based.
  • Willingness to travel as it is a field-based role.
