Medical Science Liaison - Alzheimer Disease

About This Role
As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) focused on Alzheimer Disease, you will be instrumental in enabling critical customer engagement with Key Medical Experts and Healthcare Professionals (HCPs). Your role is pivotal in ensuring these stakeholders understand the clinical and scientific narrative of Biogen's therapies. As a trusted and credible medical expert, you will provide unbiased scientific information tailored to meet the unique needs of each customer and their patients, aligning with Biogen's clinical and medical strategies. You will actively engage with customers, seeking to build deep, strategic, long-term relationships that transcend transactional interactions. Your "medical business savvy" allows you to navigate discussions that balance customer needs with Biogen's medical strategy, bringing valuable insights back to the organization. You will be measured both qualitatively and quantitatively, holding yourself highly accountable to your goals and contributing significantly to advancing medical practice in neuroscience.
What You'll Do
- Engage with customers as a trusted and credible medical/scientific expert to enhance their clinical decision-making.
- Provide relevant, credible, and unbiased scientific information tailored to each customer's needs.
- Build long-term and valued relationships with customers, fostering scientific advocacy.
- Prepare meticulously for interactions with insightful questions and relevant resources.
- Stay updated with therapy advances and current research in neurology and immunology.
- Extract and share high-value medical insights that inform Biogen's medical and clinical strategy.
- Collaborate compliantly with Biogen stakeholders, including commercial and R&D colleagues.
- Establish educational collaborations with healthcare institutions to enhance Biogen's reputation.
- Leverage multichannel opportunities to deliver high-value engagement plans.
- Contribute to brand planning with extensive knowledge of disease areas and customer needs.

Required Skills:
- Advanced Scientific or Clinical degree required; Master's degree mandatory.
- Proficiency in English; advanced level preferred.
- Experience as an MSL is desired but not mandatory.
- Ability to travel at least 60% of the time, including overnight and occasional weekend travel.
- Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Skills:
- Neurology or Immunology background is desired but not mandatory.
- PharmD or PhD level education is desired but not mandatory.
