About This Role

As the Manufacturing Maintenance Lead (Sr. Manager), you will play a pivotal role in our Facilities & Engineering team, responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all process-related equipment, including tanks, vessels, pumps, and other process equipment. You will lead a team of maintenance mechanics and ensure the seamless operation of utility systems within a GMP environment. Your expertise in computerized maintenance systems, safety procedures, and quality systems will be crucial in maintaining equipment efficiency and preventing disruptions to manufacturing processes. By managing manufacturing maintenance operations and collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure an uninterrupted supply of production, contributing significantly to the success of our organization.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee adherence to safety protocols including Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), LOTO, work permits and training to maintain compliance with site procedures.
  • Supervise and manage the daily operations of maintenance mechanics and utility systems.
  • Manage department budgets including spare parts, third party expenses and other related maintenance expenditures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address activities impacting process systems.
  • Track work orders, preventive maintenance, and backlog to ensure operational continuity.
  • Provide and maintain an uninterrupted supply of manufacturing systems to prevent delays in operation.
  • Collaborate with maintenance reliability team members to define best practices, planning/scheduling and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively across department lines and generate SOPs, job plans and GMP procedures.
  • Investigate equipment failures and implement preventive measures to avoid future issues.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of preventive, corrective and routine maintenance requirements including progress reporting.
  • Exercise discretion and decision-making to complete assignments on schedule and within budget.

You are a proactive leader with a strong background in maintenance and manufacturing equipment used for GMP operations. You prioritize safety and compliance for you and your team to ensure compliant maintenance activities. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a dynamic environment are complemented by excellent communication skills in English. You thrive in a service-minded, team-player role and are dedicated to achieving on-time and on-budget completion of deliverables. You are an agent of change and have a passion for ensuring operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in engineering or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of related experience, or 6 years with a related bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Detailed knowledge of pharma/biologic equipment, preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and GMP systems.
  • Good English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a GMP bulk manufacturing facility.

Additional Information

The base compensation range for this role is: $128,000.00-$172,000.00

Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
