Lead Business Excellence & Execution (f/m/d)
About This Role:
The Lead, Business Excellence & Execution (f/m/d) will lead, drive and execute transformative business projects across all business units, functions and teams with autonomy. The incumbent will deliver on crucial operations and initiatives, with speed and excellence to ensure Biogen Germany is in a leading position, internally and externally, in a competitive marketplace and VUCA environment.
What You'll Do:
Support the General Manager and the Leadership Team by leading, driving and executing key commercial operations and business projects across all Therapeutic Areas and functions, such as
- Leading own business projects in various business units, e.g. ranging from Rare Diseases patient identification, over go to market model development in Specialty Care, to Tender Modelling in Biosimilars
- Leading own functional projects across various functions, e.g. Life Cycle Management impact on pricing in V&A or AI tools in Customer Excellence & Operations
- Ensuring successful launch excellence in preparation & execution to optimally address customer needs in cross-functional teams
- Working with the entire Leadership Team to guardrail excellence in execution of crucial operations and enabling seamless information flow
- Working with business leaders to drive commercial/sales excellence and transform the business, e.g., shape develop & deliver impactful strategies, concepts, solutions, and implementation processes supporting Business Unit needs adequately
- Support insights generation to improve understanding of specific TA /portfolio requirements (existing and new TA's)
- Contributing to ongoing development of performance monitoring across portfolio ensuring adherence to the strategic priorities
Lead, drive and execute key strategic initiatives across all Therapeutic Areas and functions, such as
- Own and lead Executive visit preparations incl. agenda, storytelling development, slides preparation etc. (e.g. Business Reviews/ AOP)
- Driving key affiliate initiatives, projects, and business meetings, e.g. through defining and following up on hot topics and holding people accountable on progress
- Preparing and shaping central leadership team meetings (e.g. leadership team offsites, top management visits, etc.) - including agenda, content development, slides, feedback loops, etc.
- Facilitating change management and scenario planning, e.g., through developing, analytical
- Scenario plans for external market events, supporting strategic decision making and communication alignment across the leadership team and enabling internal change readiness across teams
- Support holistic leadership communication, development, and culture on affiliate level, actively engage with people leaders beyond the German leadership team

- Matrix leadership on projects and solutions across the business
- Build effective project teams, leveraging diverse skill-sets and strengths of individuals
- Work closely with affiliate, regional and global colleagues

Who You Are:
You are an execution-driven strategist who champions cross-functional excellence, leads impactful commercial and operational initiatives and enables transformation across the business. With your sharp and analytical mindset you can easily translate business context into to executive audience communications and with a strong focus on innovation and collaboration you shape and deliver solutions that elevate performance and foster sustainable growth.
Required Skills:
- Minimum Bachelors degree required, advanced degree / MBA preferred
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical / biotechnology space required, which must include previous experience in a top tier strategy consultancy
- Proven track record in driving launch excellence & sales operations in diverse product portfolios
- Demonstrated history of success in driving change in organizations as well as in leading strategic projects and initiatives
- Strong background in dealing with high level of complexity, handling multiple projects and priorities at the same time
- Advanced project management skills such as negotiation skills, lean 6 sigma, analytical & strategic skills
- Ability to build strong collaborative working relationships with key national/ international internal stakeholders as well as external partners
- Experienced in challenging local and international senior leaders
- Credible, dynamic and creative professional with energy and vision
- Excellent communication skills and a strong personal incl. executive presence
- Someone who manifests trust, and is known for ethics and integrity, and works successfully in a team environment
- Fluent in English
