Head of Site Supply Chain

About This Role:

As the Head of Site Supply Chain, you will be a pivotal member of our site leadership team, steering the Materials Management functions and ensuring seamless warehouse and logistics operations. Your role is crucial to supporting our manufacturing processes, including drug substance and drug product creation, by overseeing technical transfers, equipment changes, validations, and maintenance projects. You will lead the site Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring alignment and efficiency across operations.

This position holds significant responsibility within the structure, reporting directly to the General Manager of Manufacturing Operations and collaborating closely with Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Finance, Global Supply Chain, and Procurement. In addition, you will act as a key interface to external stakeholders, ensuring strong alignment between site operations and global business objectives. Your leadership will help drive the development of workflows, manage workloads, and provide technical support, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and enhancing operational effectiveness.

What You'll Do:

  • Direct warehouse activities, including inventory control, shipping, receiving, and inter-site transfers.
  • Oversee the site Materials planner(s) to ensure adherence to safety stock strategies and accurate procurement processes.
  • Manage dispensary operations to support manufacturing shift structures while ensuring compliance with safety and quality regulations.
  • Lead the site scheduling and issuance teams, providing integrated manufacturing schedules for production.
  • Guide site planning analysts in developing the site master plan and coordinating the S&OP process.
  • Ensure the accuracy of ERP and MES systems related to materials management.
  • Coordinate with Site Management, Global Supply Chain, and Procurement stakeholders to align production schedules, meet release targets, and ensure network optimization.
  • Develop and maintain budget forecasting tools and manage adherence to budget commitments.
  • Implement performance measurements to enhance customer satisfaction, quality, productivity, and safety.
  • Drive stakeholder management both on-site and externally, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and issue resolution across global functions and suppliers.
  • Address human performance development, guiding direct reports in goal setting and skill enhancement.

Required Skills:

  • A minimum of 10-12 years of relevant experience in supply chain positions within a GMP regulated industry.
  • At least 5 years of experience in managing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of materials and supply chain management.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management across global SCM, procurement, and site operations.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and ERP systems.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
