Head of Finance International Partner Markets
We are hiring for a Head of Finance for International Partner Markets. This position will partner with the Head of International Partner Markets, within the Biogen Intercontinental Region, and their leadership team in delivering the financial results, overseeing financial controls and governance, and supporting strategic decision making and resource allocation.
The role is a member of both the Partner Markets and the BIR Finance Leadership Team's, has two direct reports, and is operationally supported by the Global Business Services organization.
International Partner Markets are accountable for Revenues >$200M across 60 Countries and operate via 20+ Distributors, making distributor oversight, relationship management, and ability to manage complexity key aspects of the role. As the Partner Markets progress it is expected that the organization will operate under different operating models, for which the job incumbent is expected to advise on statutory and financial structures.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver the financial results. This comprises full P&L accountability in delivering the Revenue and Contribution Targets, alongside any other OPEX targets. It's also expected that the job incumbent is responsible for driving improvements in Working Capital.
- Controls and Governance oversight. In partnership with the Global Business Services (GBS) and Controllership organizations, the incumbent is accountable for overseeing the internal controls framework and establishing a culture of accountability and financial discipline.
- Financial Planning & Analysis. Responsible for driving all financial planning exercises, including Monthly Outlooks, AOP, LRP, etc. Provide insightful analysis and clearly communicate the business trajectory and its key risks and opportunities.
- Decision-making. As a member of the Partner Markets Leadership Team, the incumbent is responsible for supporting strategic decisions and providing guidance on resource allocation, profitability, products life-cycle management, new products launch, etc.
- Expansion. Play an active role in maximizing opportunities with geographic expansion and local/ regional business development opportunities providing expert financial advice on a multitude of issues pertaining to setting up commercial operations. This may involve collaboration with specialized Corporate Finance functions such as Treasury, Tax, etc.
- Team management. Identify and develop Finance talent across the organization, creating an environment that is fully adherent with the Biogen Culture, Values and Policies.

Education Requirements:
- 15+ years of experience in finance in the life sciences industry
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting or Business-related field
- MBA or CPA is strongly preferred
Experience Requirements:
- Experience in pharma/ biopharma industry including commercial operations
- Experience with full P&L accountability and financial delivery
- Previous international experience (preferably in key geographies for the Partner Markets)
- Experience attracting, managing, developing, and retaining a team
