About This Role:
As a Finance Graduate at Biogen, you'll become an integral part of our dynamic Finance team. You'll immerse yourself in the financial operations of our UK & Ireland business, gaining hands-on experience that will lay the groundwork for a successful career in finance. Our program is designed to provide valuable industry experience, you will have access to a variety of training sessions, workshops, and networking events aimed at enhancing your skills and expanding your knowledge. By collaborating with professionals across the finance industry, you will build relationships that will support your career growth and development.
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is keen to put their Finance / Accounting / Economics degree to the test. Join us on this 12 month program, with potential for extension, and contribute to projects that have a direct impact on our business objectives, while enjoying the benefits of a global biotech environment.
This role is due to start at the end of 2025 and is a hybrid role, requiring office attendance in Maidenhead for a minimum of 50% of each week.
What You'll Do:
- Prepare regular financial reporting and analysis to support the month-end process.
- Develop business partnering skills by assisting budget owners in managing and tracking their spending in line with annual budgets.
- Assist with budget/forecast submissions using Biogen's global financial planning and reporting platform (Oracle Hyperion).
- Utilize digital tools to improve finance processes and identify efficiencies.
- Prepare ad hoc analysis as required by the business.
- Support work for internal/external audit requests.
- Participate in ad hoc projects in support of business requirements, including data analysis and modelling where possible.
- Proactively collaborate with all corporate functions to support the delivery of Biogen's goals.
- Participate as a member of the Graduate Intern Program and engage in on-site work and activities.

Required Skills:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics with an interest in life sciences.
- Proficient computer skills with MS Office, especially Excel and PowerBI, are desirable. Proficiency in financial software, particularly Oracle Hyperion, is highly desirable.
- Highly analytical, with excellent attention to detail, high agility, and a willingness to learn.
- Proactive with an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset, bringing creative ideas to improve efficiencies.
- Eagerness to learn and willingness to challenge the status quo.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate and engage cross-functionally.
- Ability to work independently.
