District Sales Manager
Position must be based in Sao Paulo and covers Brazil's South and Southeast region.
About This Role
Reporting to the Sr. Director, the District Sales Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of the overall sales strategy for the Biogen Rare Disease franchise. The District Sales Manager should be a skilled sales leader to oversee managing the sales team focused on performance & drive results, monitoring and leverage KPIs, achieving the company targets and team development. S/he will work with cross-functional partners (i.e., Marketing, Key Accounts, Medical and internal Teams) to deploy solutions that drive appropriate demand, ensuring team alignment in overall execution of strategy. Additionally, the District Sales Manager should understand the public and private market environment.
What You'll Do:
Leading the sales team
- Attract, hire, and develop a diverse sales organization
- Continuously coach and develop advanced leadership and sales capabilities
- Create high performance culture with emphasis on accountability, drive for results, and collaboration
- Keep the team motivated and on track to reach all proposed KPI's
Decision Making
- Identifying and understanding issues, problems, and opportunities, taking action that is consistent with available facts
- Lead by example
Strategic, Budget planning and execution
- Partner with cross-functional team to pull-through the enterprise approach for strategic accounts
- Understand internal and external cross-functional stakeholders
- Close track of all planned activities, assuring actual versus planned are followed at appropriate intervals for its own territory.
- Track and present key accounts performance trends vs KPI
Territory Management
- Results Orientation: Continuing to set, communicate, and raise expectations of team and individual performance
- Ensure the right segmentation and execution of the tactical plan of the team to each sales targets proposed by the company
- Strong analytical skills and account management mentality to find insights and create solutions to maximize performance
- Closely collaborates with internal stakeholders, Marketing, Medical, Training, event planning, digital solutions and others
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Administration/Marketing /Communication/Science
• Country language proficiency (Portuguese)
• Intermediate level in English is required
• Strong experience in specialty care business (oncology, immunology, rare diseases)
• Strong experience working with products reimbursed in private & public market
• Robust account management experience
• Experience in managing sales teams or strong capability shown on influencing peers and other functions focused on target achievements
• Experience on Market Access or Market Intelligence/Sales Force Effectiveness is a differentiation criteria
