Co-op, Field Medical Excellence
About the Role:
This application is for a 6-month student role from January - June 2026. Resume review begins in October 2025.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Co-Op student to join Biogen's North America Medical (NAM) team, focused on Medical Excellence and Operations. This role provides valuable exposure to the inner workings of medical affairs and field medical operations within a global biotech company. The Co-Op will work directly with the Medical Excellence Lead to support projects that enhance the effectiveness of Field Medical teams, drive adoption of new initiatives, and ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
This position is ideal for students in BS, Master's, or PhD programs who are interested in careers in the pharma/biotech industry, medical affairs, and operational excellence.
What You'll Do:
- Assist in the coordination and delivery of training programs and workshops related to new field medical initiatives or improvements to existing initiatives.
- Support the Medical Director Office dashboard training and utilization, including gathering feedback and tracking adoption.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects, such as the NAM Collaboration for Impact model and other Field Medical initiatives.
- Help maintain and update resources such as the Medical Playbook and onboarding guides.
- Assist with pre-launch preparation activities for MSLs and Field Directors (materials, training sessions, process documentation).
- Provide support for MSL skills training initiatives, including coordination and capturing feedback.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners (e.g., IT, Commercial, Global Medical Training, Compliance) on select projects and deliverables.
- Prepare slides, meeting notes, trackers, and summaries to support project management and leadership updates.
Who You Are:
- Interested in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry and medical affairs.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Solid communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); familiarity with tools like Veeva CRM is a plus but not required.
- Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
To participate in the Biogen Internship or Co-op Program, students must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited community college, college, university or skills program/apprenticeship.
Education Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a BS, Master's, or PhD program in life sciences, pharmacy, public health, health administration, or related field.

Additional Information
The base compensation range for this role is: $23.00-$33.00
The actual hourly wage offered will consider the candidate's current academic level and degree candidacy, inclusive of Associate, Bachelor's, Master's, JD, MD, PhD and MBA programs. It will comply with state or local minimum wage requirements specific to the job location.
