The Associate SMA Solution Manager ensures maximum sales success with Spinraza for the first SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) treatment by identifying accurately the sales potential of customers and creating the treatment / diagnosis process in the assigned territory. Those activities will be handled by utilizing strategic selling principles where appropriate in compliance with Regulations, Rules and Biogen Taiwan Compliance Policies, for optimizing our product’s value for our patients and healthcare professionals (HCP).

Where needed, the SSM may be tasked to support marketing/commercial in the development of commercial programs and seeing to the operational execution in the field.

 

Accountable for achieving and exceeding the sales goals

  • Ensures performance of targeted reach and frequency of sales calls on HCPs in the territory; providing products information to maximize the sales goals
  • Listing documents preparation and on time listing according to plan
  • Analyzes the territory and focus on prioritized/targeted treatment centers and on key accounts to drive business performance
  • Implements persuasive selling capabilities through active listening, analytical and communication skills, and have a thorough understanding of customers’ needs

 

Develop network and support KMEs to incorporate Spinraza into clinical practice in accordance with the approved product labeling  

  • Develops and execute effective activities such as local peer-to-peer, explanatory meetings and other education programs in the territory and across the territories to develop KMEs

Build local referral network for SMA diagnosis and treatment

  • Collaborate with KMEs to develop appropriate SMA treatment and diagnosis networks in  the assigned territory and across Taiwan.
  • Facilitate new COEs in development of IT treatment process
  • Assists COEs, treatment centers and diagnosis centers to build referral networks by planning programs (i.e. peer-to-peer programs, developing speaker programs)
  • Support in building peer-to-peer network for SMA treaters to connect with a KME for questions on SMA and Spinraza treatment
  • Supports regional P2P programs to educate Ped Neuros on SMA disease knowledge, treatment options, & Spinraza MoA

Support commercial/marketing in the development and execution of programs

  • Understand key strategic brand/ICP objectives and work in collaboration with the commercial/marketing in the development of local programs
  • Work with cross functional team eg medical in the design of such local programs
  • Implementation and execution of local programs as part of a collaborative cross functional effort
  • Provide key customer/KME insights from the field to enable the development of strong integrated customer engagement plans

General

  • Compliance with local regulations and rules, and BJ Compliance policies
  • Accurate and timely completion of administrative tasks such as daily report, expense report, reporting systems, responding to emails and attend internal meetings

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of MNC pharmaceutical sales experience 
  • CNS and Rare disease products background are plus.
  • Local territory language knowledge is a must. Able to read and write in English, oral English is a plus.
  • Can accept frequent business trip.
