The Associate Director of Biostatistics is responsible for leading complex projects in support of Medical Affairs priorities. The incumbent acts as sole point of contact from Biostatistics with multiple stakeholders across the business. He/she leads the planning of analyses and design of studies with appropriate analytical rigor to generate evidence which addresses questions of importance for patients, prescribers, and payers. Applying the best, current statistical and causal inference approaches, the AD ensures analysis results are sound and interpretable. The AD contributes as a coauthor on scientific publications and disclosures and HTA dossiers to disseminate analysis results and interpretations. The AD ensures timely delivery of analyses and other work products and maintains strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders. He/she also contributes to the long-term strategy of the Biostatistics department and business partner departments by contributing to process improvement and/or scientific initiatives.

Principal Accountabilities
1. Key contributor to evidence generation plans for assigned drugs or therapeutic area, including study designs and analysis planning against strategic objectives and stakeholder questions.
2. Manages assigned staff and FSPs statisticians to ensure quality and consistency of the deliverables; provides guidance and support to facilitate their development and enhanced efficiency; provides regular feedback to staff and management.
3. Provides key strategic contributions and subject matter expertise in addressing formulary/reimbursement, competitive or other challenges to the company's products or disclosures. processes and represents the biostatistics of the company in key regulatory meetings or meetings with KOLs as required.
4. Acts as an internal consultant on specific statistical issues that impact across the value chain, according to statistical areas of expertise.
5. Participates in process improvement initiatives; keeps up to date on current statistical methodology development and drug development, payer, and competitive environments

Qualifications
• PhD in Biostatistics/Statistics or equivalent with a preferred 6+ years relevant work experience or MS in Biostatistics/Statistics with a preferred 8+ years relevant experience
• Broad and thorough understanding of statistical principles and causal inference principles; able to practice and implement them.
• Ability to rapidly adopt or develop innovative/creative statistical techniques to address complex problems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Leadership skills, including influencing without authority and effective prioritization and conflict resolution.
• Ability to thrive and adapt in a dynamic environment.

Additional Information
The base compensation range for this role is: $172,000.00-$237,000.00
Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
