About This Role
As an Associate II, Inventory Control within the Maintenance Reliability team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of our inventory management system and supporting maintenance activities. This role is pivotal in procuring parts, maintaining inventory, and linking assets to ensure efficiency and accuracy across preventive maintenance planning and operations. By leveraging your expertise, you will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for inventory control, managing small projects and programs associated with inventory operations, and contributing to cost-effective procurement strategies. You will collaborate closely with Maintenance, Manufacturing, Metrology, and Engineering teams to maintain operational excellence, acting as the go-to contact for all inventory-related matters. Your contributions will directly impact the reliability of critical assets and processes, helping the organization achieve optimal performance and efficiency.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) inventory, including purchasing, receiving, and issuing inventory based on work order and preventive maintenance (PM) demand.
  • Serve as the inventory SME, representing asset and spare parts management across the site.
  • Establish recommended stock levels and define minimum/maximum reorder points for spare parts to prevent stock-outs.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction in vendor procurement, inventory management, and repairable spares (RMAs).
  • Conduct updates to CMMS asset records, link parts to assets, and manage periodic reorders on inventories.
  • Perform periodic ABC analysis and physical inventory counts to maintain data accuracy and reliability.
  • Track and issue parts against assets and generate reports to analyze usage trends and optimize inventory practices.
  • Establish and manage fiscal blanket purchase orders (POs) and process requisitions to support maintenance and repair activities.
  • Track expenditures against budget and provide regular status updates to the Cost Center Manager and Finance Department.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to less senior inventory control staff and technicians to foster team development and efficiency.
  • Address other job duties as assigned to contribute to the overall success of the team.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma.
  • At least 3 years of experience in inventory control, maintenance planning, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in CMMS systems and inventory management practices.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance techniques and mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to conduct ABC analysis, physical inventory counts, and establish stock levels.
  • Experience with vendor procurement and cost reduction strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for budget tracking and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret inventory data and generate actionable insights.
  • Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with repairable spare management (RMAs) and asset linkages in CMMS systems.
  • Experience providing mentorship or guidance to junior staff members.
  • Knowledge of fiscal purchase order management and budget tracking practices.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to maneuver continuously throughout facilities to observe equipment. Ability to walk, sit, stoop, squat, climb ladders and stairs, and lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds in weight.
  • Ability to obtain certification and operate powered industrial lifts.

The base compensation range for this role is: -

Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
