About This Role

The Area Business Manager is responsible for disseminating up-to-date and relevant information about Biogen products, promoting continuing education for healthcare professionals (physicians, pharmacists, among others) so that they can provide the best treatment to patients living with Multiple Sclerosis and Alzheimer's Disease.

In this role, you must demonstrate planning, organizational, and analytical skills and focus on performing tasks related to the position. Excellent verbal and written communication, persuasiveness, and transparency in relationships with peers, managers, and all company employees, aiming to improve business quality and deliver sales results for your territory, ensuring that all your actions are based on the rules of compliance and codes of conduct in force.

This role is based in Mexico City and will cover CDMX, Puebla, Veracruz, San Luis Potosí and Morelia amongst others.

What You'll Do

  • Develop annual business plans for your territory and key accounts, seeking to meet or exceed the short-, medium-, and long-term goals established by Biogen, providing greater benefits for patients with Multiple Sclerosis and Alzheimer's Disease.
  • Promote key promotional messages in line with marketing strategies, following the Biogen sales model and customer segmentation. Execute tactical business plans with excellence with customers (HCPs) and key accounts to maximize demand results.
  • Analyze market data provided by the Sales Intelligence and Effectiveness area, identifying market opportunities and variables to make the best decisions that can leverage business in the territory. Coordinate and maximize available resources (regional medical education plans and programs, materials, etc.).
  • Manage available financial resources, allocating them to key actions and business plans that add value to customers, as previously aligned and approved by the Sales Manager.
  • Work collaboratively with the Medical, Marketing, and Market Access areas, providing appropriate information and support, and implement their programs and initiatives in accordance with the plan and code of conduct.
  • Be able to organize and execute meetings and promotional events with your customers;
  • Interact appropriately with the Market Access area to ensure alignment with relevant laws and regulations, making efforts successful, with the goal of maximizing the results of the territory and the region.
  • Demonstrate our position as experts and leaders in the Multiple Sclerosis and Alzheimer's Disease market through a deep understanding of the disease, products, clinical practices, market dynamics, and healthcare systems and patient flow.
  • Seek opportunities for continuous learning and development, including self-learning and actively participating in training developed by Biogen.
  • Keep all administrative tasks up to date and on time (e.g., expense reports, customer registration, CRM-Veeva systems, compliance reports, etc.) and provide relevant information necessary for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the results of your territory.
  • Ensure performance by meeting frequency and sequence of visit goals (productivity KPIs) to designated customers in your area of operation.
  • Always act in accordance with local laws and regulations and good business practices, observing Biogen policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, working with public and private markets.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Advanced English.
  • Availability for domestic travel; at least 60%.
  • Market launch experience.
  • National Driver's License.

Preferred Requirements

  • Strong experience in the private market.
  • Specialization in the area (MBA, Postgraduate).
  • Experience with High Specialty therapies.

Qué harás:

  • Desarrollar planes de negocio anuales para tu territorio y cuentas clave, con el objetivo de cumplir o superar los objetivos a corto, medio y largo plazo establecidos por Biogen, proporcionando mayores beneficios a los pacientes con esclerosis múltiple y enfermedad de Alzheimer.
  • Promover mensajes promocionales clave en línea con las estrategias de marketing, siguiendo el modelo de ventas y la segmentación de clientes de Biogen. Ejecutar planes de negocio tácticos con excelencia con los clientes (profesionales sanitarios) y las cuentas clave para maximizar los resultados de la demanda.
  • Analizar los datos de mercado proporcionados por el área de Inteligencia y Eficacia de Ventas, identificando las oportunidades y variables del mercado para tomar las mejores decisiones que puedan impulsar el negocio en el territorio. Coordinar y maximizar los recursos disponibles (planes y programas regionales de educación médica, materiales, etc.).
  • Gestionar los recursos financieros disponibles, asignándolos a acciones clave y planes de negocio que aporten valor a los clientes, según lo acordado y aprobado previamente por el director de ventas.
  • Trabajar en colaboración con las áreas de Medicina, Marketing y Acceso al Mercado, proporcionando la información y el apoyo adecuados, e implementar sus programas e iniciativas de acuerdo con el plan y el código de conducta.
  • Ser capaz de organizar y llevar a cabo reuniones y eventos promocionales con sus clientes.
  • Interactuar adecuadamente con el área de Acceso al Mercado para garantizar el cumplimiento de las leyes y normativas pertinentes, haciendo que los esfuerzos tengan éxito, con el objetivo de maximizar los resultados del territorio y la región.
  • Demostrar nuestra posición como expertos y líderes en el mercado de la esclerosis múltiple y la enfermedad de Alzheimer a través de un profundo conocimiento de la enfermedad, los productos, las prácticas clínicas, la dinámica del mercado y los sistemas de salud y el flujo de pacientes.
  • Buscar oportunidades de aprendizaje y desarrollo continuos, incluyendo el autoaprendizaje y la participación activa en la formación desarrollada por Biogen.
  • Mantener todas las tareas administrativas al día y a tiempo (por ejemplo, informes de gastos, registro de clientes, sistemas CRM-Veeva, informes de cumplimiento, etc.) y proporcionar la información relevante necesaria para planificar, coordinar y supervisar los resultados de su territorio.
