About This role

Alzheimer's Disease ICoE (International Center of Excellence) Lead is accountable for driving top industry quartile product launches and commercialization, by translating global strategy into execution and directing launch excellence pre, peri and post launch with an above market cross functional team for the ex-US regions.

As the lead of Alzheimer's Disease ICoE and an integral member of the European/Biogen International Regional teams, this role facilitates the regions and markets to localize global strategy and share best practices during all stages of launch delivering brand resources, insights and capabilities that support the regions to drive optimal product performance in market. This role will directly support the regional presidents, with key partnerships with the General Managers, AD Business Unit heads, ICoE and global cross functional team members.

The role requires an experienced leader with prior country P&L and sales accountability with a proven track record for launching medicines in highly complex and new therapy areas while driving competitive market share and performance. This role also requires significant experience directing tactical planning and disciplined execution in close collaboration with key cross functional partners ensuring the implementation of brand tactics aligned to strategy and launch excellence standards with focus on driving business performance. A successful candidate will also bring prior experience working in complex partnerships and co-commercialization experience.

The role will have shared accountability for regional (EU & BIR) top line sales, market share, and budget targets.

It is critical that this person is a role model of the Biogen Way and ensures compliance within our legal and regulatory frameworks.

Location: Baar, Switzerland working as per our local hybrid HR Policy

Reporting to: Head of Head of Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Franchise

Anticipated travel: up to 30% international

What You'll Do

  • Translate Co-Commercialization Global Strategy into execution at Regional Level by collaborating with the AD Global Franchise Product Development and Commercialization team to ensure handover from Global Strategy to Region at an agreed timepoint ahead of launch, in addition to to ensure long-term strategy includes key inputs from ex-US regions..
  • Work cross functionally and with co-commercialization partner to deliver core brand pieces for localization.
  • Drive regional brand decisions, best practice sharing, brand performance assessments and key brand leadership engagements in line with industry launch excellence standards and timing ensuring business outcomes are achieved on time and against annual targets (budgets and top line sales) in line with co-commercialization targets.
  • Ensure regional launch readiness by creating and maintaining a high performing team that proactively identifies launch excellence capability gaps and build plans to train and upskill the region where needed and agreed, to deliver pre-launch KPIs and agreed launch uptake in regions.

Who You Are

You are a highly collaborative leader who has experience engaging with key medical experts, patient advocacy organizations, public policy makers, and investors to integrate these perspectives into product strategy. You have strong leadership, planning and organization, analytics, decision making and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Minimum 12 years relevant experience in pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industry
  • Demonstrated history of executing strategies, launch excellence and delivering brand performance.
  • Ability to lead and direct multiple programs with cross-functional teams and with external partners
  • History of working on collaborative initiatives with alliance partners
  • Fluent in English

Preferred

  • Advanced degree preferred
