Accounts Payable (Senior) Analyst, Procure-to-Pay
About This Role:
As a (Senior) Analyst in the GBS Procure to Pay team, you will play a crucial role in reviewing, validating, and processing third-party invoices for all Affiliates within the GBS PTP Warsaw scope. You will be responsible for providing solutions to inquiries and requests from Biogen employees and external customers across all Biogen Affiliates within the GBS scope. Your expertise will be pivotal in resolving complex inquiries and managing incidents efficiently. This position requires a detailed understanding of the Procure to Pay (P2P) process, including taxation rules, accounting requirements, systems, and policies. You will ensure accuracy in accounts payable, invoice to purchase order matching, payments, expense processing, and accounts reconciliation, contributing significantly to the smooth operation of the GBS structure.
What You'll Do:
- Process supplier invoices into Oracle for assigned GBS markets according to the Service Level Agreement (Timeliness and Quality) and in line with all process-related SOPs, local accounting rules, and process requirements.
- Resolve complex cases and inquiries for affiliates in the scope of GBS, leveraging wide process and accounting knowledge.
- Monitor and follow up on sub-ledger aging reports, invoice on hold reports, identify related issues, provide root cause analysis, and take corrective and preventative actions, including issue and incident reporting and management escalation.
- Perform month-end close activities for assigned GBS markets for AP & PO sub-ledgers and prepare reconciliations of balance sheet accounts under PTP scope.
- Ensure efficient monitoring and follow-up on AP BS unreconciled open items and support their resolution.
- Provide helpdesk support and resolution for inquiries and requests from GBS in-scope entities/customers in a timely and professional manner.
- Facilitate and engage in collaboration with GBS entities/customers to promote continuous improvement changes and support standardization of processes.
- Conduct incident management by reviewing, resolving, and performing root cause analysis on the incidents raised for the GBS markets in scope.
- Assist with external and internal audit inquiries for GBS markets and ensure SOX control compliance within PTP SOX defined responsibilities.
- Support other functions in the PTP team as per backup plan.

Please note that this role requires a candidate to be a holder of work permit & residency in Poland.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or a similar discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting/procure to pay function.
- Good understanding of Finance and AP/PTP operations.
- Fluent in English.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a GBS/SSC and financial international environment.
- Experience with Oracle ERP.
- Proficiency in additional languages.
