Job Description

Reporting to the Global Transportation Ass. Director, the Global Transportation Project Manager will be responsible for leading cross-functional and cross-regional projects across the global supply chain pertaining to Global Transportation Activities, including the large scale annual implementations of Heavy Weight Air and Ocean Tenders.

Main Responsibilities :

  • Hand-in-hand coordination with Procurement, Supply Chain and BU teams to gather operational requirements prior to RFQ launches incl. volume forecasting
  • Support Global Transportation managers in the tender award validations
  • Leading implementations of new and incumbent carriers in the HW Air and Ocean categories across the BD Network incl. coordination with local sites, various internal stakeholders and carriers
    • Ensure documentation of operational specifications at lane level (coordinating with our Global Transportation Managers)
  • New carrier account creations
    • Ensure timely creation of all new global carrier accounts to support RFQ implementations
    • Liaise with regional stakeholders to support onboarding of Freight Audit and Pay processes
  • Enhance the implementation process by automating and standardizing practices across the globe
  • Support Global Transportation Initiatives in alignment with the strategy and leadership (ex. M&A support for GT operations, strategic digitalization projects)

Preferred requirements

  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, International Management, or a related discipline.
  • 8-10 years of experience in international transportation or global shipping roles, with demonstrated cross-functional project leadership.
  • Proven experience running and driving performance of 3PL providers, including service, cost, and KPI oversight.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, trade compliance, and experience working within regulated industries; Medical Device or Pharmaceutical experience strongly preferred.
  • Advanced project coordination and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple short- and long-term initiatives in a matrixed, fast-paced environment.
  • High level of analytical capability, including advanced Excel proficiency and familiarity with data and visualization tools such as Power BI, to support data-driven transportation strategies.
