About The Role
The Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and developing new business relationships within his /her own geographical area.
He/she has full accountability for achieving agreed financial targets and sales objectives through execution of marketing strategies, promotional programs and personal contacts with customers. He/she must stay abreast of changes in the business environment, competitive landscape, and evolving customer needs and preferences.

Responsibilities
• Develops strong, effective working relationships with key decision makers and those influential in the purchasing process within his/her accounts
• Understands the business needs of his/her assigned accounts
• Solicits input from end users and formulates an appropriate strategy based on their requirements
• Conducts product presentations to clinical staff
• Assists in identifying and resolving customer issues and problems
• Ensures compliance with all regulatory processes and codes of conduct
• Responds to requests for information
• Maintains records of customer usage, trends, and potential new business opportunities
• Works with Marketing to develop local marketing plans
• Identifies tender/RFP opportunities and works with Sales Engineer(s) to develop proposals
• Attends conferences and trade shows as required
• Monitors competition and market trends
Qualifications
• Bachelor degree or above
• 5-10 years of relevant work experience
• Knowledgeable in MS Office applications
• Strong interpersonal skills and decision making ability
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently with little supervision
• Demonstrated success in selling capital equipment and related services
• Strong negotiation and selling skills
• Proven track record in attaining/exceeding sales goals
• Highly motivated and self-driven
• Results oriented
• Willingness to travel frequently
