Responsibilities
- Responsible for Release and Deployment of project delivery, including technical assessments, vetting of proposed solutions, planning development, scheduling, and change implementation to deliver intended outcomes including zero impact to the production network.
- Operate quality assurance functions to validate technical designs, pre and post change procedures, UAT acceptance criteria, and back-out plans.
- Ensure project close-out practices occur including database updates, asset tracking, inventory systems, tools, records retention, and process updates.
- Drive continual improvement to advance service delivery and report/measure the effects over time.
- Accountable for infrastructure tool and service designs technical domains that enable business strategies in accordance with architectural governance, standards and policies.
- Leverage a functional understanding of networked applications requiring perimeter management solutions, including HTTP, HTTPS, SSH, FTP, DNS, NTP, ANYCAST services to support technical/engineering initiatives.
- Responsible for DMZ Network infrastructure knowledge, including topology, security policies, firewalls and the L2/L3 switch and router.
- Build and operate firewall platforms including Fortinet and Check Point for net-new deployments and to support Lifecycle Management through hardware refreshes and software upgrades.
- Assess projects and intake to prepare for implementation and advise solutions to improve processes using Splunk for production traffic reports, running applications and scripts to organize and compare high volume outputs, leveraging Shell and Python.
- Develop and deliver perimeter solutions by designing and engineering new hardware systems for client applications across the enterprise DMZ and deploy security devices to mitigate risk and ensure lifecycle management.
- Leverage expertise in network routing and switching, including routing protocols, multicast, and LAN protocols, to validate connectivity, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate effectively with peer resources.
- Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Engineering (any), or related and
- 5 years of experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation.
- Must include 5 years of experience in each of the following:
