Process Overview:

AML Data platform is the one stop shop of all the consumer, small business, and mortgage transactions to give a holistic view of transactions along with the Channel, instrument and posting information. This information increases the ability of the bank to manage AML risk in a consistent fashion across all business lines with less cost possible.

Job Description:

Responsible for developing complex requirements, enhancing, modifying and/or maintaining applications in the Financial Crimes technology to accomplish business goals. Software developers design, code, test, debug and document programs as well as support activities for the maintaining the application in Teradata, Unix and Informatica. Work closely with business partners in defining requirements for system applications. Typically requires 6+ years of applicable experience. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of business requirements, business environments, and technological alternatives to recommend innovations that enhance and/or provide a competitive advantage to the organization. Responsible for providing insight and direction from a data perspective, assessment of impact on technology systems and participation in the full development lifecycle of the capability being delivered. Contribute to story refinement/defining requirements. Estimate work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle. Perform proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas. Setup and automate continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline. Working closely with Production Support teams, Platform teams and Business Partners, this person handles technical aspects of the application, including Change Management, Maintenance, Platform Upgrades, and Changes to requirements from both upstream and downstream interfacing applications. Demonstrated data sourcing, data analysis and modeling skills with the ability to build innovative data provisioning models to support large scale financial crimes data sourcing initiatives. Work with a team of Data Analysts and Developers related to Data to ensure best practice and governance is followed. Promoting and applying best practices and standards at a project, program level. Partners with the business to develop plans, including ongoing success measures, to sustain the change. Accountable for analyzing present-state, developing alternative future-state approaches and facilitating implementation. Effectively communicates with managers, peers and business partners on deliverables and timelines. Responsible for being Agile and following agile practice. In parallel, ensuring all Enterprise Change Standards are met.

• Strong Teradata experience with UNIX background.
• Experience with Informatica development.
• Experience in Teradata utilities.
• Develop, implement and maintain job schedule for automated ETL processing, error handling, error notification and logging.
• Ability to run complex queries based on requirements and writing BTEQ scripts.
• Hands on experience in identifying the bottleneck and fixing the performance issues.
• Strong Unix experience in writing shell scripts.
• Financial domain experience is must.
• Experience in full development lifecycle within Agile environment and ability to work with others in a strong team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Database Development: Designing, implementing, and maintaining Teradata databases, including creating tables, indexes, and stored procedures.

SQL Development: Writing complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL), as well as for analytical purposes.

Data Modeling: Creating data models and mapping schemas to ensure data integrity and efficiency.

Performance Tuning: Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks in Teradata databases and SQL queries.

ETL Processes: Developing and optimizing ETL processes for data integration and warehousing.

Documentation: Maintaining thorough documentation of database structures, SQL scripts, and ETL processes.

Collaboration: Working with business users, data architects, and other IT professionals to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.

Quality Assurance: Testing and validating ETL processes and database configurations to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving data-related issues in a timely manner.

Data Warehousing Concepts: Understanding data warehousing concepts and best practices.

Requirements

Education: Graduation or post-graduation (BE, B Tech, MCA)

Certifications if any: Teradata & Informatica

Experience Range: 3-5 years

Foundational skills:

• Experience in Teradata development, including ETL design and development, database modeling, and query optimization
• Strong knowledge of Teradata database architecture and utilities
• Experience with Teradata tools such as BTEQ, Fast Export, Multi Load and TPT
• Experience is understanding business and writing complex SQLs
• Teradata vantage exposure and knowledge on IICS
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Desired skills:- Baking domain preferred
